Buddy don't know about these foolish claims. I think these figures shows that your bike will die if you will cross these figures .

My first bike was Bajaj Caliber 115 (aka Hoodibaba) huhh foolish name though. I stated riding the bike very gently, and I was that much paranoid about my bike that some times I changed the engine oil only after 500 Kms (even on chain loose sounds I serviced my bike sometimes). I was using Castrol Active 4T for my bike, which I found very successful in maintaining the engine life of my puny 112cc engine. But the bike itself was not good for me even after doing that much of hard-work it gave me a lot of trouble. Now its standing in a corner after doing 36000 Kms in 6 years. In the sixth year I started using ELF moto 4 Gold which was also good.

But the conclusion of the story is, these mineral oils are good but for less extreme conditions and less than 2k Kms. My run on my new RTR is around 100 Kms daily, I dont ride the bike at full clip all the time but riding in the rage of 60-80 is obvious. I am thinking about changing oil after every 2000 Kms which can give my engine a longer life, because I know I will not have money for a new bike at-least for 2 years from now.

Earlier TVS SC's used to use Castrol bottles. Then the bike used to run good throughout 3000 KMs decently well and only at near 2800 KMs I would feel that the bike might need servicing soon. But with the Tru4 I feel the roughness before 2000 KMs itself.

Never happened. Many ppl here have the habit of sending VM instead of PM. A VM is visible to all and didn't want that happening.

Just scared him so I can get it on email

              • the fuel filter and the power box

i''ll be goin for my fuel filter change at 7000kms....
i wanted it to be changed at 5000 but the guy refuced it to do so despite me yelling at him,he said that will void the warranty(bullshit)....

                my ques's:
                1. is the carbed having the filter?

and secondly if i'm gonna get rid of the small powerbox and replace it with slightly bigger one (from the KB100) will it give a better throttle response(read more crisp) cuz for that i need a carb to play with the mixture and this FI is tiein my hands.

                    Hey guys

I am thinking of changing the stock tyres on my Apache RTR refresh (9 months old). could anyone suggest as to what brand i should go for and approximately what would it cost?

                    thanks

Not many options for 100/80 x 18 (RTR 160's rear) in the market. For 100/90 x 18 (ZMA's rear) it is much better. My best bet would probably be an M45 or the MRF's from the ZMR.

There is a CBZ service center near Deve Gowda Petrol Pump, Banashankari which does provide decent service but it will be 5-6 kms from your place.

Avoid Neo TVS(Banerghetta Road).Try MARS TVS which is in JP Nagar itself. It is located on the road to Brigade Millenium. I found the service to be quite good.Do give it a try!!
