    Dude! all petrol/diesel vehicles have filter. but in case of Fi, there is no sump, working as buffer. But in carburetor, there is sump below it. Thus, filter does not need replacement so soon.

    FYI: for carbed bikes, the filter is below fuel cock.

    What do you mean exactly by Powerbox?
    There's lot to it other than saddle....

          Isnt that the SAI (Secondary Air Injection) device, used for pollution control?

            Thats accumulator. Go on! do it. it doesn't matter whether you have carb or fi. If you want to check, just remove it and take a ride. Its not advisable for longer use. But remember, by doing it, you will be running lean in case of Fi, as the air flow sensor is on air box.

                I also thought it was the SAI, but somebody here (Renny was that you) told me there is no SAI Unit in RTR Fi.

                          guys how long does the rear disc brake plate last?
                          my friend's rtrfi has done 10,600 kms and the rear disc and the pads needs replacement!! and this is the 2nd disc pad he is changing!
                          and the SVC center guy told that the disc plate is not covered under warranty after 8000kms .
                          is it or is not? i called the area office and he said that disc lasts only for 8000kms?
                          pulsar 220 dts-fi clocks 145kmph!

                            ^^^ The disc - in most regular use cases lasts almost as long as the bike. But if we use with worn out pads it won't even last 1000 KMs

                                discs & disc pads are considered consumables. Discs get worn out if the user uses the brakes after the pads wear out. That can never come under warranty.

                                rear disc pads would last about 15K KMs easily if used as supposed to be used. If only the rear brake is used on a powerful bike then I have even seen cases that needed pads replacement before 2.5K KMs.

                                So, it is time your friend learns to ride the bike like an RTR and not like a Chetak.
