  • The compression ratio of an engine is increased by reducing the volume of the combustion chamber.
In this case, the combustion chamber volume is reduced by using a high compression dome-type piston. There is no need of shaving the head or the cylinder.
I would not disclose the static compression or the compression ratio for obvious reasons.
Surprisingly, this high comp set-up kit will last longer than your OE cylinder kit from the factory.
Satyen's engine now runs higher compression than stock with some extra cc. Everything else in the bike is bone stock. If he is serious, this is just a sample of the real thing he can get . And the best part, everything is a plug and play affair.

No Man, no raping... I just finished my run in and had to tour on it to Rajasthan! So it was actually 2650KMs in a week with natural Air cooling to the engine :P

lol thats the paint being burnt away... its actually a good sign I have another free coat to go... and the exhaust might go .... and\or might go for free powder coating treatment!

@Renny: I am an RTR guy more than the R15 guy I just love this bike! and hence all that investment

@Joel: lol I guess you already know my answer!

Hunting for an R15 front tyre to plonk it on my now bald stock TVS front...

Any body have any tips to reduce the vibes? Heck there is a R15 chassis lying around which I have been eyeing for sometime to plonk this engine in!

          problems in my rtr currently,

oil leaks from the drain nut,
oil leaks from the casing since the screws and threads are damaged,
          too much vibrations,
          loud tappet noise,
handling has changed a bit for bad..

jus got serviced two days back! GOD please give us a good SVC mechanic

          have crossed 41k mark though

matching the mountings will be a prob otherwise it'll be one killer combo, R15 chasis meets RTR160 tweaked engine!!!!

How did you manage to get all your threads screwed up... all of these seems to be a nut bolt issue (except the tappets)
DIY - Replace your bolts... cant say that for the engine case though!

Check your RTRs ownership manual, there is a Pune SVC, talk to them about this.... There is a number of certain someone in this thread (i guess Apar posted it)

PS: Thats not JUST nice LOOKING RTR there

              What 160 ...

Mounting is no rocket science, I will still have the RTR Chassis with everything on it as a backup

Will have to weild a lot of stuff but am badly short of time to get into this!
              Lets see how it goes!

Howz the 300V performing as the recommended grade is different. Is it advisable?

Even i am using Motul 5100T Semi-synthetic.Bike seems to rev slightly faster but that's only about it.

thats cos the Yamalube is Mineral . try some good SS or full synthetic & the new oil will definitely be felt .

300V is a multi grade oil... head to Engine oil threads, I remember seeing some reviews there!

if you find engine oil leaking anywhere, then dont clean it. let it be like that and then show these guys. only then can they identify.
