        Hi

Yes you can install 110 sized rear .. even I have installed... mine is Zapper Q . it didnt affect milage or peformance ( or i did not notice it)... Handling changed a bit ...grip is way better than stock ones..

For the oil, i would recommend sprinta 5000 synth for the RTR ... Ithink its just tailor made for RTR ....

        • Hi Guys,

The rear tube of my Apache RTR 160 got punctured yesterday. Now I have to change the tube and this is the third time I am changing the tube in the last 4 months.

So I am planning to get a tubeless tyre just for the rear.(I am not sure if it is okay to change only rear to tubeless, just guide me if it is not). I am looking for something with better grip on both dry and wet conditions. Also it should last at least for 15Kms. The size of the stock rear tyre is 100-80 18", so what is the max size I have to follow if I don't want to change the rim or compromise on the mileage. My budget is max 3000/-

I live in Bangalore, so I hope availability of the tyres won't be a problem.

          Thanks,

            thnx buddy
btw how much did Q cost ??
i just want the rear to be changed
n also can u tell me if the leanability or flickability of ur rtr has changed since then, i just love the way she handles n wud want dat to remain

also i've heard sumwer on the net dat sprinta 5000 isnt gud
            is it true ??
n is it safe to switch to synthetic directly frm normal 4t oil ??
isnt a switch to semi-synth recommended first ??

for 3000 budget go for pirelli Sports demon 110/80 /18 . no issues on tubeless just for rear tire . it should cost under 3000 rs . i have the same tire its very good on both dry and wet conditions .

@witcher3 - petronas sprinta is a good oil . you can go for it , theres no hard and fast rule that first gotta use semi synth before full synthetic oil .

@Puneet1: If I fit the Pirelli SD 110/80/18, will it reduce the mileage of the bike?

the tire is only one size bigger . mileage may drop maybe around 2 kmpl .

I will vote for PSD 100/80-18. If you are getting one, tell me. I also will buy it. We will demand for bulk buy. My Geo will need replacement soon.

I would say u should stick to the stock tyres, because even same size but tubeless tyre will also hamper your performance. The stock tyres are of hard compound which give minimum drag plus they are very light so unless and until you can live with a little performace decrease you should stick to the stock tyres.
