it happens everytime not specifically while leaning
    for example
push you bike with the clutch depressed, when it is at speed leave the clutch
the rear wheel will lock up
before leaning if you do the same then you the bike rear tyre will skid and you'll crash

That guy was riding without a lid too.
I'am all fine, though i rode my bike at 35-40kmph till my home as i was driving with my right leg stretch'd after tapping the gears...

I left the clutch too early, that too without blipping the throttle (senses stop working when u need them the most) that caused the rear wheel violently locking up for that fraction, and as i was almost at the start of the lean, my bike lil "tilted", so i was already "runnin" on the 'side'walls, so that jerk of the lockup made it lose the ground.

            • I don't get it... What was the point of putting this yamaha clip in the Apache section?
Put it in the yamaha section!

Apachians are very loyal to their machines ...... We have the same fun on our bikes too! And we love every moment of it !

                • A150 ownership report

Finally got a chance to write an ownership report about my ride. I ride an Apache 150. July 2006 model. My bike has run around 35k kms till now . Had just one crash in these 4 yrs but it was a major one. You guys can read about it here ( http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/pit-stop...-my-beast.html ).

From the past four years, i hav'nt faced a single problem. He is like my buddy and we both respect each other. My ride has never left me stranded and has never let me down.

Sometime in between, i was planning to sell my ride but i couldnt because i couldnt break the bond between me and him .

I wish to keep him as long as i can

Recently, someone broke both the side panels and stole my battery and connection terminals. But now everything has been fixed and i have even put a maintenance free battery. Now my ride is as good as new . This time i have swapped my silver side panels to black and the colour combo looks terrific.

Nice to hear that the Classic Apache is treating you well. It was one hell of a machine for that time and had low/mid range torque like no other in its segment. The grunt was distinctive too.

Thank you so much ''chicane''. Its good to hear from you.

Well yes, the mid range is just superb and above 3k rpm, its a mad machine . I am just trying to solve the vibration problem. This thing vibrates a lot after 4.5k rpm. Can you help me with this ?

A lot of people in the forums have complained of vibes around 4.5K to 6.5K RPM. I think it is part of being a RTR. If it wasn't there new, then you should check the engine mount....and lubricate the chain every 500 Kms.
