Is it an experimental release ? as i dont see any news about it in their official site also ? but as its available in showrooms adds to doubt that its experimental , may be they just want a feedback on this new variantOriginally posted by manan_in_2000 View PostYes it is! it was soft launch...

dude where did your pics go ? this set of pics was actually good lookinOriginally posted by manan_in_2000 View PostYeah1 I agree that people might be feeling that there hopes were shattered, however my thread was never to increase the hopes to the sky level
it was just the information of a new variant getting launched. But on the other side as it's name suggest, it is HyperEdge, I dont know what people have percieved of it, but the name was kept such to indicate the technological changes in the bike.
As per my experience of riding this new variant I can say that this bike has actually been an attempt to remove those vibes that were the matter of talks in the past and also the bike sports an exhaust system to meet new emissions as well increase usable power and torque. Also an all new racier decal scheme somewhat simillar to McLaren
with a near carbon finish.
It has no spec change, but when you ride this machine you actually feel the difference of the output of the power, increasing the grunt that you always wished for.

Any of u guys cleaned the throttle body on their bikes? My RTR is showing signs of a throttle body that is loaded with dirt and requires cleaning. Has done a wonderful 23K kms....Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

HID in RTR
Finally install a 6000K HID in my RTR yesterday. DC conversion was done a week ago and till time I was using the stock bulb. This HID light is very good at low beam, every bits of the road is now visible.
Thanks to everyone here who help & guide me for this success. Some pictures here, but this in my basement and soon I will come with some proper pictures.sigpic

Cant hold my 'can properly moment"
NEVER EVER DOWNSHIFT WHILE IN/BEFORE LEAN, NEVER.
Eve, around 5.30, smooth long right hander ahead of me, inviting yummy tar road, i glanced at the 'mirror, no car, no truck, i glanced at the speedo, was doing 110-115 in 5th, and this NINJA guy whooshes past me at some 120-130 kmph, i donno from where he came, and i was like WTF.
I dont know at that exact moment what happened, may be i was riding half wake, or was somewhat scared by the idiotic overtaking of that ninja guy, i downshifted, half clutch'd, and the rear locked for a fraction of the second, but that fraction scared the hell outta me.
The rear stepped out, and i slammed my right foot on the ground at some 75-80 kmph, and got my nerve pulled.
I advise all the RTR fellows and every other chap on the bike that never ever downshift at the exact start of the turn/long lean even if you're greeted by some surprise overtaking moron/ or a cow/dog suddenly showing at the start of the lean that caused you to tap either of the ends.Last edited by rennycornelius; 10-14-2010, 08:56 PM.The Magician"

My RTR 160 handles a little weird at times with the rear trying to go in a different direction than the front. And on some days it handles just perfect as if nothing is wrong. There are also a few sounds that it started making since I had an accident (rode head on into a tree at around 45 kmph with my eyes closed
. everything in front of the tank was replaced except the speedo panel). I am thinking of getting it overhauled (it is 1.5 yrs old). Can anybody suggest where i can get it done in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai? Non TVS preferably as i got it serviced at TVS Vashi svc a month ago which seemed to have solved the problems but they have started creeping back.

But why..? And how..? How the hell does the rear lock up when down shifted..? And why does it happen only while leaning..? Renny man, please explain..Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostNEVER EVER DOWNSHIFT WHILE IN/BEFORE LEAN, NEVER.
