Got air filters cleaned i usually travel in dusty roads , had got puncture fixed on roadside SC guy told he had done a bad job he said some bush was missing if ridden for ~200kms more the wheel would have jammed
And one more thing i noticed was

water used to collect near that hole when enquired about this he told it s for water collection it d\s not connected to tank and it drains out water is this so

This is a tank breather hole to ensure no vapor lock takes pace.If you are in rain or water washing this hole must be plugged to prevent water getting into tank....few Xbhpians have faced problem of water in petrol after water wash.

Guys, I feel my bike is lacking power in the low range RPM, i.e., around 2-3.5K RPM which is much noticeable with pillion. I didn't feel it in initial 6-7 months but now I'm really feeling very low at power in that range. It maybe that I've noticed it after 6-7 months as it is my first bike and I didn't get to know about it initially but I want to clear this doubt. Is it normal as this range doesn't fall under powerband of the bike being a rev happy engine or there's some problem? I feel that the bike is not able to pull in the above mentioned RPM range

Btw, the carb tuning is done just around 3-4 days ago. Earlier I felt that it must be due to bad tuning coz I fiddled with it some 2 months ago. But after tuning, I don't feel so while riding single but it is much noticeable with pillion and seems like there is much decrease in power with pillion. (Yeah, I know that pillion decreases the power : weight ratio but I'm feeling as if its decreasing more than expected).

        EDIT: I own a 180.

RTR will knock with pillion if you're not giving ample amount of throttle in the first two gears.
It knocks even in first gear if you're gonna dump the clutch at 2000-2500 RPM and give it a full fisted treatment.

Nothing can be done, the engine lacks the grunt below 4000 RPM, the thing cannot pull comfortably with pillion in 4th from 3500-4000 RPM.
You have to downshift a gear or two to taste the cream of the power.

              @Garry:

If you have made it rich more, lean it by half turn or vice versa then see the diffrence.

Yes, plus what the PSR told.
make sure the pipe which the hole is connected to, is not beneath the tank as my bike came with blocked pipe (whole weight of the tank was resting on it) from the co.
If it is, then re-route it.

              • Concerns about RTR-160 HE

                Hi xBHPians,
I am planning to buy RTR-160 HE.
I was going through ownership reviews and found that the bike skids a lot, so am concerned about it. I am 31yrs old married person and will be using the bike to commute to office and on weekend my wife may also ride with me for a drive within city or maybe Pune to Mumbait kind of drives.
Please suggest if this bike will be ggod for me. Thanks in advance.

The bike only skids on wet roads ( the TVS tyres dont take wet roads nicely ) that too if you're in a mood to put your knee down, otherwise on dry tarmac the TVS tyres are good, leaning, high speed straight driving included.

RTR is real pain for pillions, specially a girl wont like the vibes, hitting the driver everytime when he's gonna grab the breaks as the rear part of the seat is just too high.

                    • When can we know that bike is in reserve ? Today i wanted to check R-R for mileage and it was on last bar, but after some time it started to blink(the bar in fuel gauge in digi console) now the indicator in tacho meter wasnt glowing but it was in reserve When will this light glow ? and more over i gave the bike for service @ 490 KM so technically after 500KM the service light should have gone up but it didnt

I'm ok with whatever u told on tires and the seating format..but the vibes are certainly less/negligable in HE...i dont know whetehr u have ridden it...anyway I own one and I have ridden both the apache old version and the hyperedge and I have certainly felt the difference...even my friends said the same that its more smooth and vibe free than theirs...

AFAIK the low-fuel indicator in the console will blink when reserve fuel is about to finish...while in the fuel indicator, once it is about to be reserve it starts blinking in R-range like what u said...

after the service the SC guys will do an adjustment with the two switches (i.e. Mode & Set)
in the console(AFAIK by pressing them both at a time) thats y it didnt blink even after crossing 500km

Actually, I am having this question in mind for quite some time now. I did ask once, but didnt get any proper reply.

So, TVS tyres skid on wet tarmac, but how much..?
Is it so bad that even uncle riders fall down at corners, or it is like people simply fall when they push it hard on corners, or break just too hard..? Also, which tyre skids more..? Front or rear..?

Saw your old posts you did R-r tests na ? For me what happened today is In Digi Console it started to blink and bike got switched off due to low fuel i.e it went to reserve, but Orange light in tacho did not light up ?? what does this indicate ? Reserve Petrol (2.5ltrs is being used) or it means that it going to go to Reserve shortly ? please tell how did you do r-r and which indicator(tacho or digi)

Yeah but for them to do it the light should be on na first ? or its not like that ?

, or break just too hard.
Depends Disc or non Disc ,
.? Also, which tyre skids more..? Front or rear..?
as i have seen what people usually do is get their Rear Drum brakes tightened and ppl only apply rear all the time
yes it skids on loose gravel, wet roads so you should be cautious, so you shouldnt corner on these conditions, bend all the way you can in dry conditions.
