  • @haxor - You are absolutely correct.
But see what i said. I said just for 10-15 seconds. and only during morning. in Mid day choke should not be necessary. and Mixture of Fuel and Engine Oil wouldn't harm tha engine. But if you use choke for long, It will harm the engine.
    Some people use another trick.
5 kick without choke and then a kick with choke. Believe me it works like a charm in undesirable situations.

@adnansannoi - Brother thanks. I skidded on my friends HE. Yes I am planning on buying it.
And Yes I am in 2nd year of my engineering and they do both. After 3-1 I will be specializing in one. Probably in Mecha.

And brother, Yamaha and TVS are not same. Yamaha engines are far ahead in terms of everything. But TVS has struck back with RTR seriously. and My suggestions are only for them who are a commuter+racer. It will help them in long run. Say what ~60K Km.
I myself planning on keeping my upcoming Hyperedge for at least 3 year at least my varsity days. After that I will change.
and Also I go to service center guys rarely. Keep yourself some toolbox with you.
But for advanced things, it seems I will have to pay visits to TVS SC.

Yep that s what i do everyday, few kicks with engine off,to wake up the sleeping oil then choke start for 10secs if you flood it you get another weird smell.

      • Can anyone tell me the cost of ball racer?
One thing i want to ask,The head of the engine is always oily and with dust it has become dirty, any explanation why is that happening?

        @sumon:
If your engine is healthy, only one kick is required in the morning to start the engine

Ofcourse One kick is enough. But when it is cold / any morning gesture or kept off for 2-3 days, Bike won't start in one kick generally that's why this procedure.

            • have a bed fork (in front) of RTR 160.thanks to crashing with a tRacToR

should i just straigten the bend or go for a new one?How much would it cost?

After the bend i hv ridden for 200km,will it cause further damage?

I feel it would be better to claim it under warranty along with a change leg Guard.

              Waiting for the replies

              • Bed fork or bent fork?

Change it,fixing it will make it worse! i guess you shouldnt claim insurance in this case!

Even after bleeding the problem was not solved. Had to sit on the head of mechanic and pissed on him, then they found that the problem was with the pump in the Master Cylinder which regulates the oil.
                      Mine is solved.
Get the pump checked and fight with them regarding the same else they keep on saying that the brakes are alright.

thanks bro for the info will check it out and get it rectified

                        Did you mean insurance?

If you have to moolah, then change it. Else if the bend is not too much, get it straightened.

I'm using choke at morning for few second and rarely using kick. I should start using the kick from now... you know, we become lazy because of technology... and I'm fully fit your "commuter+racer" class. Yeah TVS tires aren't good. already skid few times on rainy day where other bikes went smooth along with me... I'm sure HE will serve you more than 3 three years easily... Man I fall in love with sound of the engine. TVS Service Center in Dhaka is really good. They changed my meter, cable, censor without any questions for free and their service and waiting room are also good.
SC Ranking in Dhaka by me:
                          1. TVS (TVS motors)
                          2. Bajaj (Uttora motors)
                          3. Yamaha (Kornofuli motors)

I'm also looking for that and asked already two times. Maybe no one has that as a PDF or in other formats.

Thanks Brother, In Mymensingh, TVS SC is not that good. But worst one is Yamaha though IT is the biggest one. No service guys are available all time. And Uttara seems much responsive in Mymensingh, But they don't know anything. I know much better from them. Knowing that I am gonna buy TVS HE because my uncle and some of my well wishers suggested me hyperedge. And I am going for it.

Someone will upload the Manual I am sure. It is all about helping. Please someone do it. RTR 160 manual will also do the trick.

And brother did you fall? why you had to replace those things.
It seems if i need a full service then I might come to Dhaka TVS SC then we will meet. O contrary, add me [email protected]

pics of 110/90-18 mrf zapper Q on my apache...need to keep air pressure to 35, else tire rubs with swingarm on right wall
also handle wobbles like mad above 60 Kmph, what could be the reason, tire fitting seems to be correct. there is very little gap between right wall and swingarm, just about 2-3mm.
anything that can go wrong will surely go wrong at the wrong time and the wrong place

                              • Hi guys, whats the mileage are you all getting from your RTR 160,when ridden sanely and while redlining.
I have heard that 160 is the best when it comes to both mileage and power.
