Guys, I have replaced my rear tyre with a MRP Zapper Q two three months ago, now it was running fine. But the tyre is one size up from the stock. Suddenly few days back, I feel that when carrying a pillion bike handle bar wobbles in 40-60 kmph range. Now visit the SC and they suggest me that my rear wheel bearings are gone and need replacement, and found that the wheel have some play in sideways. Now even after replacing the bearings the problem still persists. They yet to solve the problem. or find any solution. What should I do?

So far, I observed following settings :
N-1-2 = 15KM/h --> 4000RPM
2-3 = 23KM/h --> 4000RPM
3-4 =30KM/h --> 3500RPM
4-5 = 36KM/h --> 2400RPM & 42KM/h ~3200-3300RPM.
That's so far I have tried. 104.2KMs done on ODO.
Done One Oil Change at 60KMs.
Eager like hell to complete 2000KM.

Mine had the same issue a few months back and the svc said its bearings problem. i then went to a mech i usually service and when i showed him, he quickly diagonalized it as worn out swing arm bushes, and it got alright when he rectified it. it just costed me some 100 bucks .Originally posted by kauria View PostGuys, I have replaced my rear tyre with a MRP Zapper Q two three months ago, now it was running fine. Guys 100/90-18 size is ok for rear tyre? I know stock one is 100/80-18. But I couldn't find any MRF tyre for 100/80-18 size on MRF's website.
Can I go for 120/80-18?Last edited by adnansanni; 05-12-2011, 02:07 AM.Adnan

100/90 would be more than OK. And Don't upsize tyre size. It will mess handling and top-end of the bike.
Go for 100/90 or 100/80 other tyres. MRF is not compulsory. You can go for Dunlop.Yamaha Gladiator SS - Owned and Sold.

120 is an overkill, though handling would be good, the gearing would change and kills the top end miserably...... max is 110-80. michelin is really good and they have slashed the prices also recently. Michelin M45- 3.25 is a good option. else go for mrf zapper-c 110-80, best of mrf lot.Originally posted by adnansanni View PostGuys 100/90-18 size is ok for rear tyre? I know stock one is 100/80-18. Guys I need help.
My bike's chain is really dry.
Dunno what to do. I have bought 4T 20W40 Castrol just for lubing chain. Would that be OK? I have searched for SAE 90 Gear Oil. It is not available here. So I bought Engine Oil.
Would that be OK?
My Bike is standing at 131.8KM.
However, Kick is doing good.
But Throttle issue is there. Unless engine gets to normal working temp, throttle doesn't respond to my twist.Yamaha Gladiator SS - Owned and Sold.

Brother, do you think i haven't tried that?
I have searched most of the shops. Even here, dunlop 100/90 tyre needs to be ordered to get delivery. Because good things don't burge much here where i live.
However, Brand new engine oil i have bought i think it would do the trick. What do you think. I will lube the chain when it is dry.Yamaha Gladiator SS - Owned and Sold.

Brothers, every time after running for 20-30 mins, I find engine responce to be wide open.
Has the engine been broken run-in? It becomes more rev-happy after ~20mins running. Whatever.
145KMs Done.
3.4Litre consumed. I am happy with initial fuel consumption.

By the way, I am going for a 155KM tour on 16/5/2011 that will include my father as pillion. He weights 48KG. My engine ran 145KM. Will that be any problem for engine?
Please refer me. As I am in the run-in period I am scared if it will stress the engine.Yamaha Gladiator SS - Owned and Sold.

Don't worry man...riding with a pillion would not "stress" the engine even if the pillion's weight is 80 Kg.Originally posted by Sumondatta View PostBy the way, I am going for a 155KM tour on 16/5/2011 that will include my father as pillion. Just ride the bike below 50 Kmph till the first 2000 Km at least. That should make sure that the engine breaks in properly. Don't forget to get the engine oil replaced at the time of first service.Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

The Highest speed I rode is 43-44KM/h. And got Oil changed at 50KM ODO. Will change again ~500KM at first service. Using Castrol Activ 4T 20W40.Originally posted by cmahajan View PostDon't worry man...riding with a pillion would not "stress" the engine even if the pillion's weight is 80 Kg.

Thank God I though Pillion taking would stress the engine.
Thanks.
