Hey guys !
Hopefully i will join this club soon, if everything goes well!
I am getting a 2nd hand 160(2008-Sept)
its clocked around 20-22k .. yeah :P Well, First off, its speedo cable is faulty and so no data is sent to the console! but looking at the bike and the tyres, its quite evident that the bike's not run more than 20-22k KM!
So i wanted to know how much would this cable cost me?
and the rear left indicator is broken, so would like to replace it too!
another issue, is the battery which, i think is dead or as the owner says just discharged! If i wanted to buy a battery how much would it set me back by?
I dont need a 4 year warranty for the battery as i will sell it one and half year!
also, would like t put some stickers on it, to hide the wear and tear signs on the body!( not much scratches, But i like Sticker :P) , so Pune members might be able to help me in finding a cheap place to do that?

The guy said 36k, but i guess it would come for 33-34k!

Am sure about the local ones cost something around Rs.1100 while the OEM ones will cost around 1.8k and not 2.2k as posted by me earlier.Dont know about the ABS stator coil though!

IMO, for Matt Grey, washing it using a nice car shampoo or even pantene/sunsilk

The speedo cable you are mentioning, I suppose, is the speedo sensor cable with costs a bit below 400 INR and the battery which comes as OEM with the bike (Exide battery) would cost you 1300 INR from some battery waala guy and the SVC guys will charge 1450 INR for the same. While, I got Amaron maintainance free battery with 24+24 months warranty for 1400 INR coz of some "brotherhood"

Well, you'll get that for around 1450-1500, so I don't think it makes sense to go same only 150 INR coz you ain't gonna keep it for more than 6 months

how do you know its the speedo cable and not the entire speedo assembly that's gone kaput? is the clock in the console ticking? what about the tacho needle and the lights around it?
coming to the battery, even my RTR Fi is sept 2008 made and my battery died in jan this year. So it is quite possible that your suspicion of the battery being dead is true. And i recently bought the 4 yr warranty battery from navi mumbai, costed me Rs. 1600.
confirm these two things before you take it forward. If both these things are indeed damaged, then you can take their OEM prices right off the asking price while negotiating.
the indicator should cost you about 200 now (it was 150 a year ago).
for the pune thing, post in the pune g2g thread. They will be more than happy to help.

Btw, why are you planning to keep it only for 1.5 years?

is this gonna be a learning bike?

thanks bro..here are few pics of it..i changed the front tyre to that of one from Dunlop..it has nice road grip..

thanks for the confirmation . if anyone wants an easy way to convert bike to full dc he can buy the rtr 180 abs coil + rr unit . coil= 1200 rs and rr unit = 700 rs approx.

will support 55 w halogen or a 35w hid then .
