Reason why TVS put 18" at the rear is to give more pillion/rider comfort on bad roads. A larger dia wheel can overcome potholes than a smaller one. The 17" front was chosen to improve flickability and corner handling. It shows clearly.
Running a 17" rear on the RTR will make it so much better. I've already tried a 17" rear wheel off my Fiero on my RTR with different gearing and a works engine. Thing was so much fun around corners and straight line.

RTR carb pumps around 13bhp at the rear wheel. Dont remember the exact decimals. Its more than a p180.

if you only want to experiment such a set-up, get a Fiero hub with a 17" spoked rim set-up. Its a direct fit. It will be a fun track set-up. but if you have the RTR FI, then u cant swap the hubs coz of the disc brake set-up. The bike will be shorter and more handy around corners.

      • hmm makes sense, you get the best of both worlds this way. Btw this there any other such bike elsewhere with different size stock wheels?

Thats a healthy figure after losses.

So, you mean that the one which is not fitted on the bike is the stock tyre of R15...!! Not possible man...it looks pretty fat(than the usual R15 tyre)

Did someone mail you the pic..??

          OR

In other words we can say that there are even slimmer tyres than the R15's stock tyres(i can't imagine of any) .. !!

The reason it appears small is due to a small rim used to give it a more rounded profile and provide better handling and cornering capabilities.
Inder i took the pic buddy, even i was surprised to see the tyre, as Aparajith said the rim on R15 is smaller than P150 which makes the tyre look small when fit

            .
Yup, there are a lot of bikes abroad with different wheel sizes. But the TVS Victor 125/GLX/GL/RTR/Flame are the only bikes in the country which share a 18"/17" combo.
I've seen GSXR400's with a 18"/16" combo. Pretty weird stuff.
BMW bikes have such combos. Most of the dirt bikes run a 19"/20/21 front with a 16/17 rear combo to help corner drifts. U find a lot of bikes.
So it gives the best of both. handling and ride quality. Too small at the rear and it will lead to a bumpy ride.

dude that puncture man messed up with the wheel alignment of ur bike but as far as the gaps u are mentioning they're the chain setting adjustments they should always be "EQUAL" on both sides........
your wheel is DEFINATELY not in center......

if you can fix it yourself, its easy, just loose the lock bolt (they're two of 'em in each side) and adjust both the bars by the second screws, and don't forget to check the chains slackness after that to its tightest point...(turn the wheel and keep ur finger on the chain you'll get that point)

OR RUSH to the dealer and get it FIXED........
otherwise it'll eat up your sprocket.........
