      • One more question that I would like to ask RTR FI owners who are about six feet:
I had a short ride on the RTR refresh and didn't understand why people say it's not good for tall people.
How is it day to day,for say,25 kms at a stretch? Is it back breaking? (I am 5 feet 11.)

on the other side performance of my bike is really devastating i.e i got 0-60kmph mark in just 4.2secs and attains top speed of128kmph.
            mileage:48kmpl.

i guess these problems r related to fuel injection only.
btw wht is ur bike's idle rpm?
            it should b arnd 1400rpm!

It's absolutely not the Missing it's the switch over of the ECU of one Map to another Map, which alters the cumbustions firing order and the amount of fuel air to be injected in the cylendar, such a situation occur in the stop and go traffic. If such a situation persist for long you can get it fixed by TVS service center it's just a simple alteration of ECU Map that can be done at the dealership.

finally someone gave the answer to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and ya it occurs in slight throttle openings, like stop and go traffic....
i went to the service centre DUGAR DISTRIBUTORS IN INDORE (M.P) and they said they don't have any facility to map the ECU..........
and the strange part is the 'missing' occurs only when the bike is hot when its cold it never happens....................

Interesting, you mean to say one can actually feel the difference when the ECU shifts from one map to another like this ?

i dont know if the ECU maps are switching (in which case it should be seamless) but then the missing throttle response is definitely a cause of concern at low rpms and in the heat....

will be taking up the issue with the company directly rather than go through the dealer..

Sri Sai TVS, Susheel TVS, The one in Erragadda.

Remove above three from your options.

PS: Last time, i gave my bike to CBZ-KPHB and the service was fantastic. I have given it today as well. Will update if they are consistent.

i kinda disagree...was very satisfied with the work by kiran TVS. especially considering i used satish's influence and also arun who was there was the most helpful. My two year old Apache even got the rear shocks replaced for free, even though i was outside the warranty period.
