Had removed the air filter yesterday for some unrelated maintenance and this is how it looks now. This is the psr mod air filter. The hot glue has disintegrated at the bottom.. wonder why. Also there are gaps where the hot glue has gone. Have to fill the gap.
I'm not sure how many kms back I'd put it in.. must be 5 or 7 years back atleast.. say, maybe 15 to 20k kms..Last edited by acs1207; 02-02-2025, 11:52 AM.sigpic

Hello all! Good to see some activity here.
I replaced the old fuel cock (with brownish filter in picture) assembly with new one (with white color filter in picture), as the original fuel cock assembly filter screen was cracked in few places resulted in cleaning of the carburetor few times.

Even with a car H/L bulb pthe visibility was pathetic against any type of high beam or LED lights. So I bought a pair of HJG projectors. I didn't connect the red color . Their switch is like a merri-go-round.. white (high) comes first. Then you switch it off and then on again to get yellow low beam (which is what I want to aid visibility). Then repeat it to get white and yellow combined flood. Do it again and you get both flickering three or four times , alternat8ng between the colors.
BTW in which format can 8 upload a video? MP4, mkv and flv were declined.sigpic

Hello, there was a time, I was considering to install something like this(as shown in the link below, an example), but then I gave up on this idea as it will attract traffic cops attention. Also, am I the only one who cannot see many of the old pictures on xBhp?

Hello all!
I installed an inline fuel filter called "Allextreme EXGBPF1 Magnetic Glass Inline Fuel Filter" on my motorcycle, which is sold for Royal Enfield Bullet BS3/BS4 models, as a precautionary measure for rust particles from the tank causing blockage in the carburetor. I recently installed a petcock valve as well. I tried to buy paper fuel inline filters from different local manufacturers, but they were not interested in selling them and I found it strange! I selected to try this filter. It was priced at ₹248 on Amazon(dot)in. This filter can be easily cleaned and installed back by unscrewing the nut at the base of the glass body/chamber.
This how it looks. Fuel enters from the top port from the petcock valve and leaves from the side port to the carburetor.
It has a small magnet, which will attract any metallic dust/particles present in the fuel from the tank. The metal mesh is removable as well.
I had to cut a small portion from the rubber gasket of the cap just below the fuel inlet port, as one person mentioned in comments on the seller platform that the rubber gasket somewhat restricts fuel flow.
The normal fuel pipe diameter was small for the inline fuel filter ports, and I had to buy the pipe with larger diameter, costed ₹50.
4 of these clamps were needed for the new pipe as well, costing ₹10 each.
I had to do some measurements for cutting the pipes regarding the placement of the inline fuel filter so that it stays hidden behind the left side cover.
With thick pipe it was tough to keep in an upright position. I did not notice any leakage from anywhere, so it looked good. I tied one of the side steel arms with zip ties to the air filter box so that it does not rattle while riding the motorcycle.
Final finish.
After installing the inline fuel filter, in a couple of days time, the fuel started to overflow from the drain pipe of the carburetor. I was like, this project is a failure. I thought something was blocking the float pin from seating properly, and this filter did not help. I went to a mechanic; he checked the carburetor and he showed the float pin has developed rust on the aluminum part where it sits on the plastic float, and it was getting jammed, restricting its proper operation. He replaced the pin with a clean one and said the float pin was not blocked by anything. No leakage from anywhere since then. Felt relieved!
Also, I would like to suggest to ZMA owners to clean the terminals of the fuses, CDI, main relay, and battery as a regular maintenance procedure and keep the motorcycle in good running condition.
Thank you for the read.

Update
Kept the filter in position, filled the gaps with hot glue first. Then applied a layer of Araldite over it. 12 hours to cure.
I don't know when I'll be free next to install it.sigpic
