    Help!!!!!!

Friends i am having a strange problem with my ZMA .It's a 2006 model which came out before the ZMA R, from the past few weeks there is a strange vibrating noise coming whenever i rev my ZMA hard, checked the fairings and all but it's all intact , even shaken the bike while on centre stand but still no sound, it's only when i rev the engine hard the strange vibrating noise comes with a lil tad tad sound , recently found that the front mudguards one side is a bit cracked where it's joined to the shockers.
Another problem is whenever i reach top speed of around 60-70 kmph if i leave my hands for a few secs the handle starts to wobble badly , it never use to occur before not even at 100kmph, what could be the issue.I showed it to a local mechanic who said it was coz of less oil in shockers, so i got the oil changed in both my shockers but after the oil change the shockers became stiff and are not butter smooth anymore, the wobbling handle problem stays and has not been corrected, moreover i am hearing chak chak creeking sound when press my front shockers in and out using front brakes.....and whenever my bike goes in a small pothole or rides over a breaker , the shockers are hard and i can feel the impact on my hands and i feel like i am riding a bicycle.......................please help me out guys.

Take it to the Hero Honda service station and explain the problem to them. They are the best to do it. Sit on their head till you are satisfied. Tell them that the problem has not been corrected even you complained before and that you are coming for the second time with the same complaint. Tell them you want the problem to be solved at any cost. They will do it.

I do not have any clue BlueBiker. Wait for others to give their opinion.
Could you please tell us where exactly the vibration is coming from?? Did this occur after any particular incident?

I think the current chain-sprocket set for karizma is around 750 bucks ( i recently changed it). I do not think you need any other alternative.

I think dude it's coming from the front of the bike , when i am driving normally or even fast the sound is not present but as soon as i change gear and accelerate hard this sound comes but only for 1 sec and not more than that, same thing happens when i launch my bike in first gear .
I have noticed that the front mudguard is a bit cracked at the place where it joins to the shockers, one HH guy told me maybe it's the bearing in the handle which is loose or broken ............dunno, going to HH service centre tommorow , hopefully they may sort it out.

BTW how much will a new front mudguard cost??

                    Zma Problem!

Ok lets start one by one....am not assuring u of the cure but lets see if we can really diagnose the problem.
                    1. vibrations occur when something like a buffer..a cushion is missing or if the things are not working in alignment.so, if ur Zma vibrates on rev it hard, check if all the buffers, Dampers, Cushions are intact or need a change.
Vibrations while revvs can also be due to various other factors which believe or not can be as lame as ENGINE OIL!
                    2. Wobbling of ur handle on high speeds can be due to ...1) inadequate Tyre pressure..2) Improper wheel Balancing...3) Front axle/ bearing not ok......4) might be due to uneven worn out of front tyre. so check and rectify accordingly.
                    3. as per my opinion, when we see our shockers leaking...its always better to check and get it repaired at the onset else it has to be replaced! also, because the front shockers are not covered in a ZMA as in a Pulsar, so its always better to check any deposit of dirt or sand on the rods, which might act as emery powder when the shoks are in use.Clean the Rods as frequently as possible and be careful about the rubber seal, it is what really protects the shoks from leaking!...remember...its always better to be careful then to spend money in repairing/replacement.
                    4. the chak chak sound while pressing ur frnt brakes is because of the perforation/ventilation in the Disc. not to worry!
P.S : The above Comments are NOT from a TRAINED MECHANIC/ TECHNICIAN so readers are requested to use their own judgement.

                      Wish HH people are Listening!
                      1. HH people believe in curbing the noise pollution, so they have provided Zma with the weakest horn on this MOTHER EARTH.My BAJAJ SUNNY had a better one
                      2. Not a very Impressive Beam... bike capable of going 120+ should have a better headlight. Projectors / HID should be factory fitted.
the bike should also be more MECHANIC friendly. I remember that I had to take my bike to the MEC for getting the brake light bulb changed, I just could not open the Cover despite removing the screws. it was a pain to feel that I had to go to the mec for such a JOB.

Also, to check the battery water etc. we have to UNSCREW the Body Fairing/Cover. wish it was something like the ones in Pulsar.
if Heaven Forgive u have to open the tappet cover, u need to 1st remove the fairing, then the Tank and then only u get the access to the tappet cover, wish it were a bit more simpler to ckeck and clean.

                        ^^ ...
Also,Rest of the points Completely agreed upon..
If you have to clean the air filter you have to unscrew the whole side panel,as in not in the case of pulsar or any other bike..
I did it while i had to put K & N in my zMa.....

                          Hi Guys,

When i apply break there is a screeching noise quite often since after the 1st service. Even spoke with the showroom people to check what is the issue and also asked if there is a problem with the brake pad to change it, but they adv there is no issue. But still i have not seen any changes regarding this.

There is a tapping noise of the engine when the engine is on and when in neutral, i beleive should be a problem with the clutch. Went to garage but they say its ok.

The other major issue is when i am taking a corner the bike starts wobbling at the back almost like a snake and also i have noticed whenever
i go across the paint on the road which notifies the divider i guess the
bike starts wobbling at the back. Its like the bike is loosing grip. I am not sure if this is a common issue with all the ZMA's or is there anything that has to be done regarding this issue.
