What i think would be a smart move by Hero Honda is, they should have removed the front half fairing from the current ZMA R, make it look something like a normal fairing on Hunk Or CBZ Xtreme or like Honda tiger 200cc bike. Though the charm of ZMA would be lost, it is the perfomance whic speaks. This would certainly help reduce the cost approx around 4 - 5K.So ZMA R will cost approx 75K odd.This will become a direct competition to newly launched pulsar 180, FZ, FZ-S & FAZER.

They could have launched the new FI version with the same half fairing. This would also keep the cost down. They could price it around 80K Ex showrrom price. This would compete directly with Yamaha R15 & newly launched Pulsar 220.

This way Hero Honda would have 2 models of Karizma in the market. One with carb version with normal fairing & FI version with Half fairing.

Now going by the pictures of the new ZMA,full fairing looks pretty bulky in the front and sure will add to the cost of the bike.I think it will probably be priced around 10 - 15K more than the current ZMA R. That will be close to a lakh figure. Letz wait & watch...

which in my opinion is in no way value for money, just look what pgm-fi did to the cost of the stunner!!
if you compare it on features and tech with the r15, yamha is the clear winner + their racing events and racing parts which add to the whole ownership experince, makes it a paisa vasool deal
i am a bit dissapointed with the new design, would have prefered a sport bike look rather than a busa like and if there is fall that big fairing is gona burn a big hole in my pocket
and that snazzy "zmr" graphics look so cheap

35k is a good deal considering only 26000 on odo. Show the bike to a good mechanic and ask him to thoroughly check the electricals. If need be, better replace the entire wiring, if you continue to get the problem.

35k is a great price and given the fact that you know the owner and the bike is well looked after, just buy it. If you're not convinced, look around in the local market for used Karizmas to get a feel for price and quality.

Before you do anything else, remove the main ground cable and clean the leads with fine sandpaper. Have this done on the starter motor as well (check for grounding) if possible.

There is an outside chance that there is a short in the starter motor that is causing the fuse to blow. If a wiring change doesn't fix it, then the motor itself may be suspect. Factor in the cost of a new starter motor into the equation if necessary and see if that works for you (I don't know what it costs).

The Karizma has excellent electricals; the only common recurrent issue I'm aware of is the tail lamp bulbs getting fused.

hi..i`m planning to buy the new "ZMR" and wanna sell my current zma r sports red colour..any idea how much money will i get for it..it has clocked just a mere 7500kms..andi had bought it in march 2008..single hand use..i`ve a car..used the bike only on weekends..that explains the no of kms run..plus no accident till date..touch wood..no scratches as well..the only modification done is..i`ve put the pulsar 220 mirrors on the fairing..

I just wanna say one thing about new Karizma....."All those who didn't like the bike, You would all change the decision once you will see it"

Its got a lot of amazing things...starts from speedometer to headlights to tail lights and also the fairing.
Believe you me the bike is just never seen before(really amazing features)
and the photographs present all over the internet, the angle of the pictures made the bike look dull.
Just wait and watch for the pics.

No he didn't mentioned about the launch date as such but this bike is gonna give a real tough competition to all of em.

Oh and the GSXs fairing is the only fairing which looks good IMO as compared to a twin headlight already being used by the R pundraah! so a pretty obvious choice...
