I have done riding @ 60kmph(i.e. @4k rpm) that too on highways and very little city and i got an mileage of 47.5 kmpl that.... Also when i ripped the bike totally above 110 kmph constantly...i got a mileage of around 28 kmpl.... so its upto how you use the bike.... its power you can use at the cost of fuel....Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Postu sure go for zma-r, mileage of zma-r is in b/w 35-43....i get always 40 kmpl......u have to ride it properly and not rip it , always change gears before 4 k and see wat amazing mileage u get.....

I have been observing the same off late very frequently especially after riding for 15 min or more in the traffic. This is what I have observed:Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostTank heat up in karizma are common and I have faced at least 10-15 times. But, it will not happen all the time. It will particularly occur when you park the bike after a good ride and not while riding.
If the above symptoms are the same with your bike, you can just ignore it.
The tank doesnt get heated up while running even after one hour. But the tank gets heated up if I park the vehicle for few minutes. Thats when I notice the tank is hot!!! I havent got many opportunities earlier to ride the bike between stops of 5 to 10mins. So I could not notice that earlier. One more thing is that this phenomenon I started noticing after the end of Winter. May be in colder conditions, the tank cooled faster so I could not feel the heat!!
Any inputs on this??
EDIT:
I think I found the answer. This explanations sounds true!!!Originally posted by kaynmantis View Postmmmm...It is not a problem. In my ZMA, tank will usually get a warm when empty. It will be cold when full. Simple reason, empty tank will get warm faster than a tank with full of liquid

ZMA gets news rubber
My ZMA has completed 5800km and I decided to get the stock rubber changed to Michelin M45 (front and rear). Total bill was Rs3700. While my bike was getting its change, the adjacent bay had a brand new S-Class getting its wheels aligned ... hmm. Just 2 more wheels isnt it
?
It is too early to comment on the grip as i was largely pussy-footing thru the roads as I m yet to get familiar with the slightly different traction. A few weeks back (while on zapper) I skidded (the front end) in a road turn/corner with lot of construction mud/debris. I actually dropped the bike on its left, bent clutch and broken gear lever. This incident made me look out for better rubber (now that we cant change the idiots on the road).
No mods required for 2.75 M45 front and 4.00 M45 rear on the ZMA-R. I am still on break-in mode for the tyres - hope to give it the stick after a week or so to figure out the upper reaches of its traction.
On a lighter vein.... Incidently, my tyre switch over of MRF to Michelin happened just outside the MRF-headquarters compound wall with the MRF-man statue
(with a tyre overhead) was staring at me. MRF- are you listening? I hate to move allegiance from India to France - but I ve got only one life.
one more thing...the tyre shop guy inflated my tyres with Nitrogen

^^^ that's a real SOS situation. Get your fork oil seals set in properly on priority.
The oil leaks and reaches the brake pads without a question. The pads slowly absorb the oil and become useless. They are damn expensive at about Rs 2400 a set.

My Baby has completed 1 year and 11000kms i am planning to replace the battery to 9ah.
I did some search and found Amaron 9 ah would be a good choice.

Please advise if Amaron 9ah is a good choice.
I will also be searching for HID kits please suggest some good brands(dont want those chinese cheap brands).

That battery is good. The only mod you'd need is to bend the metal plate that holds the battery in place. The 9AH battery fits tight in the case and is a little wider than the 7AH one. If possible, try to get those rubber holder as in Pulsars and use them to hold the battery instead of the metal holder.
Sorry, didn't check the thread for a few days. To my knowledge, most bikes from HH come with the same fork dia. Those Rs 80 ones might be from the smaller bikes. As long as they are HH Genuine parts I wouldn't mind buying them.Originally posted by Bestofrivals View PostI went to the service station ,they told me that they have two kind of seals one is Indian costing 80 Rs & one is japanese costing 450 Rs

But they don't have those Rs 80 wale ,saying that we have only japanese and i think they are fooling me by selling those 80 ones in 450 because i got to know that nothing is selling as japanese, sab bhartiya hai.Originally posted by HydBiker View PostSorry, didn't check the thread for a few days. @Coplay@180: I have been using the Amron Probiker 9ah battery in my ZMA. It has been working great! I cannot give a long-term experience as I have been using it only for the last two months. There are two variants - alpha series and the beta series. While the alpha comes with 60-month warranty, the beta comes with 48-month warranty.
Model: AP-ATX9
Price: ~INR 1500
Mods: The metal latch/plate has to be bent a bit. Requires some effort to push the battery in. And if you been using a 9ah battery earlier (just like me), it will be a direct fit. For, you would have all these mods earlier.
