  • Thanks a lot guys.
    That was really helpful.

ANd what is it with the Alpha and Beta series? are both completely maintenance free? price difference?
I could settle down with the BETA series because I dont even know where I will be in 48 months.

    • Hey! how long does ZMA battery lasts? Been waiting to change to 9ah myself. But current battery is still running as good as the day I purchased my bike a year ago. 7ah is simply too weak to handle 2 rear lights, 1 headlight, 2 pilot lights. And when you brake, the rear is now equivalent to 4 bulbs and not forgetting the dash lights. When all are lit up and you honk..... he..he. Its embarrasing.

Findind a HH ASC or a spares shop is no issues. Pls try another place. If you know a mechanic well ask him if there is a difference in the oil seal of ZMA and other HH bikes. Fork dia of splendor & ZMA is same.

I have been looking out for a good 9aH battery too.
Could you please elaborate on ur search like exact battery name/model, cost, mods to be done to fit the battery, warranty period etc.
Get the 9Ah Amaron or Bosch Maintenance Free. Costs about Rs 1400.

          • I called the RELIANCE AUTOZONE in Bangalore yesterday enquiring about the Amaron 9ah battery.
They have it in stock and it costs 1543/- but he said he will give a discount of 200 bucks plus 75 bucks for exchanging my old ZMA's battery.
I wanted to get it done last night but I had a client call @ 7:30 which went on for 2 hours

I think i'd do it tonight.

                  • guys completed around 1000 km on my 1.5 month old ZMA pretty happy with the performance so far except hard gear shift issue . I had changed oil twice - 1st around 100km mark and later during 1st servicing around 600 km . Still gear shift ( esp up shift ) feels pretty hard . Is there any way to fix this ?

You seem to be taking care of your ride very well. Gear will get smoother and fix itself eventually.

If it involves off roading, removing the engine cowl would be a necessity.
