Sorry to hear that Anmol. I see they are minor scratches. You can change it in future when there are more scratches. But, if you have moolah, go ahead and change it.Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Posti had a minor accident yesterday, so due to that the bike's silencer cover got a few scratches, im attaching the photo of that, pls advice me shud i replace the muffler cover with a new one[cost 550] or shud i keep it as such.

Sir,
it is to inform you that im AK sharma owning a hero honda karizma zma-r. it is one year old and has done 3900 km. i had a minor accident a couple of days back, so repaired my bike at metro motors rithala delhi, since it was evening time, the mechanic didnt gave me the test ride and i took the bike home after completing all payments. but after riding the bike i noticed that there is some noise heared below the console when the bike is ridden on some not so smooth road[you know how delhi roads are, having small potholes etc].
so today i went to the SVC[METRO MOTORS RITHALA DELHI] and they made a job card for this purpose, i also wanted to change the silver color plate of the silencer as it has got some scrtaches and dent.
when i went to the workshop manager for rectifying the bike's condition, his behaviour was pathetic ,rough, coarse, impolite, uncivil, rugged, ill-mannered, unmannerly, discourteous.
i could not find anymore words to explain his damn rugged behaviour.
i agree with the procedures of the workshop, but atleast the person there should atleast listen to what customer requires and satisfy and assure the customer.
im attaching a snap of the list of names of the persons of that SVC, im completely dissatisfied by today's experience and i have lost all faith in HERO HONDA company.
i thought HERO HONDA SERVICE was the best but today METRO MOTORS RITHALA DELHI has ruined all my faith in HERO HONDA. if the SVC is behaving with a customer who is owning a premium segment motorcycle of hero honda, i wonder what they would be behaving with customers of dplendor and cd - deluxe.
the job of the workshop manager is to satisfy the customer and he himself is such a rude and stupid person, how the metro motors rithala delhi have hired such personnel.
Kindly take the matter into consideration and take a strict disciplinary action against metro motors rithala delhi, otherwise herohonda would be losing customers as today i have decided not to service by bike at Metro motors and would prefer to service my bike by a roadside mechanic.
im attaching the names of persons there pls see the snap, the name of workshop manager is RC sharma.
thanks

my bike completed around 200 km,yesterday i changed oil for the first time as per other member's suggestion. Although i am not feeling any difference in the gear shift ,i am sure this early oil change is beneficial .I have also done teflon coating from SVC .The bike is looking much better - paint is more smoother and shinier.

one more thing , bike digital meter started showing reserve ( single blinking like ) after that i have completed around 50 km yet bike petrol knob is still at "on" position . SVC guy told me that dont trust digital meter , it shows reserve much earlier. The 3 way knob (on,off, res) is the real indicator of petrol status .

When the last bar starts to blink, there will be approximately 1.8L of petrol above reserve (including reserve approximately 3.8L). There are no faults in the meter, you can believe it this way.Originally posted by 1235sam View Postone more thing , bike digital meter started showing reserve ( single blinking like ) after that i have completed around 50 km yet bike petrol knob is still at "on" position . this makes sense. It line starts blinking when 3.8 L petrol is left whereas knob will show reserve when 2 L is leftOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostWhen the last bar starts to blink, there will be approximately 1.8L of petrol above reserve (including reserve approximately 3.8L). Btw my bike is giving FE between 25-30 (mostly city riding )

You should get in between 30-35 at least. May be your riding way is different. 25-30 is on the lowest side. Too early to conclude the FE and wait till first service.Originally posted by 1235sam View Postthis makes sense. The Gears will definitely smoothen out so get out of that midset and enjoy the ride. Wait for 1'st service.Nice that you changed the oil, it will do good to your engine. To keep the baby shining, get a tin of 'Car Vax'. I use some 'Formula 1' brand which i got from local car decor shop. Cost me some RS 250/-.Originally posted by 1235sam View Postmy bike completed around 200 km,yesterday i changed oil for the first time as per other member's suggestion. The new zma is nowhere same as my old one, missing it a lot, also now my bike gives me a mileage of 26kmpl(improved from 25) making my commuting costs sky high.
