And what do you mean by AFR ?

Just want to know can i claim warranty/get my problem any authorized HH SC .Becuase the dealer from which i purchased my bike is located far from my work place and i wont be able to leave my bike for inspection before saturday .But there is other authorized HH SC located below my company .So can I get my issued solved from this SC ?
For the speedo meter problem, check the speedo gear, 15 to 20 rs plastic gear, its probably broken and while changing it tell the service center people to oil the metal part of speedo gear which is at the end of speedo meter cable. I had same problem and found out that the metal gear in the speedo cable was hard, so the plastic gears was breaking, regarding the gear hard thingi, please change gears above 3000 rpm it will change easily. Do use choke in the morning as the bike has cold start problems, also since its brand new there is no harm in keeping the idle RPM a bit on the higher side, it will help in running period

    • Unicorn disc pads are not a direct fit. Apache's are direct fit on ZMA. They are priced around Rs.450 I guess.

Better buy from TVS workshop to avoid duplicates.

Once journalists did a nonstop 24-hour high speed test in Chennai. They maintained speeds above 100kmph all the time. The engine was rock solid even after than. Do I need to explain more?

You can give a 20-min brake at every 200 km to allow the engine to breathe.

I would recommend you go to the SVC where you bought your bike. I had same problems with mine and got it corrected at other SVC. Got my initial servicings done from this another svc. Now the supervisor of the Dealer's svc do not co operate if i go and tell if i have any issue with the bike. I understand its pretty clear that you can get it done anywhere in the country but why take chance?
Gears- A clutch setting change will make the life smoother for you but dont expect miracle. Try changing oil,i mean, only from svc and the recommended grade. Exercise atmost caution in run in period. A controlled riding in this period will ensure nice mileage and refined engine in long run.
This is true to my experience.
Cold start is very common with ZMA. dont worry!

And yes get good riding gear, a must for a true biker.
              thanks for your tips

today i went to another SVC , the guy told me that there is problem with digital meter cable and chock cable which causes rpm fluctuations and cable replacement wont be covered under warranty .He suggested me to go to SVC from where I bought the bike. Now i would have to wait till saturday due to my job schedule

Uni's pads are not a direct fit. I remember someone posting a few pics also how the Uni's were different from the ZMA.
But the apache's disc pads are a direct fit. Costs ~400 bucks. Try getting disc pads or brake shoes from the company ASK. They are really good and pretty cheap too.

I remember, I bought a pair of shoes from the HH SVc last month and wanted to replace the ASK ones I was running on.
Surprisingly, the HH brake shoes(NEW) were more worse than the ASK shoes (OLD). changed it back to ASK in a day.

Has anyone tried the grab rails of the ZMR on their ZMA's yet??

                  • Everyone: Few weeks back I posted my requirement of rear tail panels for my first edition ZMA. The panels sport the 'Premium Sports' logo and my bikes the candy blazing red color.
Now, I rechecked with Fortpoint mumbai all they have is the second edition panel which sports the 'HeroHonda' logo. And after nobody here too has come across them anywhere I guess they are now out of stock..

So now its a humble query to you, since that panel wont be available anywhere now, can anyone buy me the 'Premium sports' sticker set if available anywhere in your respective cities. It may not be available with the dealers but is available or can be elsewhere. As i shall be going in with this panel anyway i need that sticker very very badly!

Hope someone can trace it for me( if original is found even better!)

                    Awaiting replies..

                    cheers.

nope, but i've used cbz-x grabs on my zma.direct fit...i think the grabs found on both the bikes ie cbz and zmr are the same.

                        • Guys, i want to change to a good 55/60W bulb. But i have a few concerns. Would really appreciate your inputs:-

                          1. I checked Philips crystal vision available in a pack with 2 bulbs/2 pilots. But the shopkeeper told me they would not fit the zma. But i read here many people using it! Are the bike and car bulbs packed differently?
                          2. Been using the R for 7 months, have done some 12K. I feel the horn goes dim on high beam. Wudnt getting 55/60 screw it even further?
                          3. Are there any issues with the reflector?
                          4. Do i need to attach a relay for the bulb? If yes, is there any cutting to the existing wires?(DOnt wanna do that)
                          5. Would you rate the Osram Nightbreaker or Philips crystal vision better?
                          6. Lastly, the price of the bulbs and the relay(If installed)?

Can you enquire abt its type..i mean is it a H4 bulb..if yes then it wud fit..otherwise no..

                            2. Been using the R for 7 months, have done some 12K. I feel the horn goes dim on high beam. Wudnt getting 55/60 screw it even further?

Not encountered the same problem till date..you can get the wiring checked for any loopholes(i mean whether there is any power loss)

                            3. Are there any issues with the reflector?

No issues with the reflector with the 55/60w or even with the 100/90w bulb.

                            4. Do i need to attach a relay for the bulb? If yes, is there any cutting to the existing wires?(DOnt wanna do that)

If you want optimum performance, then yes you should attach a headlamp relay. And if you buy the relay with the wiring kit then cutting the existing wires is not needed..

                            5. Would you rate the Osram Nightbreaker or Philips crystal vision better?

                            Osram Nightbreaker

                            6. Lastly, the price of the bulbs and the relay(If installed)?

                            Bulb = around 800 bucks..
                            Relay = around 250 bucks..

                            • ZMR booking in Hyderabad/AP

My friend (for whose bike I put up the sale ad) went to HH Mody Motors to book ZMR&they are saying he has to wait till May even to book!
They have pending orders&not receiving stock from company also it seems-poor chap was all set to book it today.
The worst was-he was offered a red ZMR at Rs.20K premium over the cost of the vehicle!
Now we want to take this up seriously with HH, so I need your help on:
                              1. Senior official contact email ids in HH
                              2. Any other showrooms in AP where they take booking?
                              Quench my thirst with gasoline!
