Thanks for your suggestions on this.
Get the carb tuned by a professional.. are you using the stock air filter or after market ones ??
Dont wanna miss that look on your face when i blow past you.

      Anyone experiencing such problem?
This is not abnormal. It happens with all karizmas, but not always.

You get aftermarket cam tensioners which are better than the OE i think it cost abt 600bucks.
I would like you to confirm it is .1mm. I am going to buy a feeler guage and make my mechanic set this.

Also, could you please tell us where we can source after market cam tensioner and the make of this. I guess my bike needs replacement.

Also, I heard that it would be better to change cam chain as well when you change tensioner. Is it true?

You are right and I am glad that you figured it out. That is why I want to give you Nobel Prize.

Actually, I would like to confirm whether the correct tappet setting for karizma is 0.1mm. That is what I meant.

                • @ wings_of_fury: Got the 3rd serivice done today, the right side panel was broken and was replaced under warranty..! But the sound from the engine which is supposed to be because of Cam tensioner fault was not replaced..! The Supervisor said that the Noise was not there when i had taken it to Service center..!! And yes thats true..the sound would generally come when the engine is hot..!! Any ways i couldn't convince him and left saying that i would come on Monday when the engine was hot and show him the weired noise coming out of Engine..!! Will keep you updated guys...!!
BTW i couldnt notice that sound today....i feel that whether they might have adjusted the tappets and if it was the tappets which was the culprit .!! Need to check out tomorrow..!! Will be going for a 400 KM ride lets see.. !

                  • wheel alignment issue with my ZMA

                    Hi

I have a small problem and fear that it may get bigger.
I have a 2007 ZMA ahich has done 16,000kms. I feel that the wheel alignment is going out coz when I see the bike from a long distance I can see that the front and the back wheels are bit out of line.

What should I do..? I am bit worried as m going for a K2K trip this August on my ZMA

                    Thanks for your advices Guys...

bingo! we still need the exact inlet and outlet clearances from somebody!

Ok..did 430 kms today on my bike....the sound from the engine is still there..!! I guess i must take it back to service center tomorrow....!! But i must tell that the bike handled briliantly..she is rock solid even at 120 + even with pillion..!! The bike becomes more stable once you cross 100KMPH..and i was doing around 100-120 speed all day long..!!!
Apart from the handling, i got a milage of only 27-30 KMS only..!! Which i felt was too less...!! The clutch seems to make some kind to wired noise now....!! As i leave the clutch after shiting to 5th ...i hear some rough noise..!!
Now comes the sad part..!! As is was doing crazy speed on the lovely road..i suddenly saw a pothole..and i couldn't miss it..the bike had a hard hit on it...I heard a loud bang..!! For a movement i thought i had broken my mag wheels..!! I stopped the vehicle..put her on the main stand..and saw that the bikes Number plate had hit the Front Mud guard..and it had some scratches on it..and even found the number plate got loose because of it....then i throughly checked for cracks or bent in the Wheels and i could noitce a small bend on the edge of wheels..!! the Wheels moved freely..and dint have any wobbling too..But now im worried about it...how much will the wheels cost..?
Do you guys think that i must change the Mags now..the extent of the damage is very minimal..and no one could ever notice it...!!

Being a little pedantic here, but there is an actual distinction between the two. At least in technical documentation.

When someone mentions .1mm, it's a measurement with a bigger tolerance than when they mention .10mm. This comes from the fact that .05mm and .14mm both round to .1mm, however this cannot happen to .10mm, then only .095mm and .104mm will round to .10mm.

But mostly in real life, I don't think anyone will notice. (However in valve clearance the difference might be noticed. But I'm sure feeler gauges have proper tolerances.)

I dont think u will be going to replace all the parts.

Fork bent can be rectified in around 250 rs. New handle costs 1round 180.I would suggest to change the handle atleast as handle once out can never be rectified to perfection. Check for disk brakes alignment.

Don't worry about the mileage mate. I also get these kinds of mileage when storming down the highways. The mag should not be broken but as you mentioned the intensity of the bump seems quite high just check for alignment. The disk should not touch the disk pads and rotate freely. if thats the case I don't think that there should be any other major damage
