I once calculated the actual speed via GPS. A friend of mine was was my pillion and i was riding steadily at 60kmph. The error was 6kmph. The actual speed was 54kmph at that time.

7.7 k rpm at 5th gear translates to 123 kmph.

Through this method the error would be only 2-3 kmph provide there are no high winds, etc. and road is straight level only.

Rather this methods is more useful for all bikes.

CBZ has a final stock drive which enables 11.91 kmph for every 1k rpm.

Enjoy your top speeds and your personal records.
Thanks for the info. My bike does 130kmph exactly at 8rpm. ( I normally shift gear at 4-4.5rpm at the highway).

What's your weight bro? Mine is only 62kg. My ZMA does 130kmph exactly at 8rpm.

    +100.
Mine is also broken. I guess after my accident. But my mechanic said it's broken before the accident. MSeal/Aridilite works fine here.

    • Hello Guys

I own a beautiful REd Zma R done 3000km so far till now i was using Motul 3000 plus 10w-30 grade mineral oil as was unable to find HH 10w30 manufactured by Idemitsu all i found was manufactured by BP.

Guys not really happy with motul performance oil looses its velocity after 600-700km and engine becomes rough again.

I use Zma for weekend touring and daily commute

Please help me and recommend a good oil for my baby

I am thinking of castrol power 1 racing which is 10w40
      my questions are
      1.how long it will last?
      2.how is the performance?
3.is it ok to use 10w-40 on a 10w30 recommended machine?
4.Where in mumbai can i find genuine oil?
5.if you guys dont recommend this oil where in mumbai can i find HH 10w 30 manufactured by Idemitsu?

(Also posted in engine oil section so please reply is any one of the posts)

      • @Dreamz_Mak, I would advice you to use jut HH engine oil, preferrably from Idemitsu. Alternatively, you can try Elf Motogold 10w30 or Guls Pride 10w30. They are tested by many members to be good.

Only one word, I will not eloborate, "do not go for Power1 Racing". It is not worth 750 bucks.

          • Regardless of weight a bike will do - x km/hr at y rpm.weight does not matter, it takes a longer duration of time or a speedo error.

            • Steve and Jonak, my weight checked 1.5 years back, 79 kgs. I guess I have reduced some weight all this 1.5 years, may be it is around 74 kgs.

I am using iridium sparkies and I guess it is allowing the bike to rev more and also may be the clutch plates are loosing their function slowly.

My bikes battery completely dead in the last week and even the speedometer started to malfunction. Decided it is time to get a new battery. As planned before checked for 9Amp battery. Options were TATA Green, Amaron Sealed battery. I was inclined towards TATA green as it was doing its function in many of bikes that i know. Really satisifed with its performance. I could not get hold of TATA Green easily and even enquired about Amaran sealed battery. Could not source one as every dealer stopped ordering them due to problems (at least this is what they have said).

And the find of the Day, I found 'BOSCH' sealed battery in 9 amps and 5 amps. Never new Bosch started manufacturing Sealed batteries for bikes. Thought of checking how it would be, after all somebody has to use it see how it functions. Bought one for 1400 bucks after some bargaining.

Did some juggad to fit the 9 amp in to the 7amp frame. So far, eveyrthing is cool. Will post the pics in the evening.

Sarvajit, I know there is a dealer in Kukatpally, but before going there we were searching on the way from Miyapur while coming back. We accidentally found this BOSCH battery and were very much interested in trying one.

                  Anyway, thanks for the offer.

                  • Suggest a good tubeless rear tyre for my ZMA.

Am 2 minded wether to put back the stock tyre (zapper 100) or a Zapper 120?
or any other tyre? Also am not keen on putting M45.

Am a cornering freak & take my ZMA to limits, so plz suggest wisely.

Check with Inder, he has put Duro HF which is a Tubeless tyre. There is also 110 section. You could go for that and it would be perfect balance. A big NO-NO to 120 section tyre.

You have a Zma anyway. Why do not you wait for some more time. May be you can look for other option after six months.

                          .
Why not to a 120, any specific reasons you wana point out...

@Inder: Howz Duro HF? the grip, traction? on corners?

Flickability would go for a toss. The front would become very light and the stock Zappers will not complement. You need to install a good bigger front tyre and karizma's front is not designed for bigger size front tyre. Also braking force will be altered which is not good.

You know, my bike is running on 120 sirac at rear. Stability is excellent, but flickability is not as good as stock bike.

Bosch batterys are said to be made by Amaron. They are supposed to be amongst the best. Problem is they are not easily available. Good you got a sealed battery...

Dealer saying Amaron batts have problems is most likely humbug. Whatever they dont sell or don't have in stock always has problems...

What is more surprising is, I got the BOSCH sealed battery from a local automobiles shop.

Regarding the Amaron batteries, almost every dealer we enquired told us the same. Even the Amaron dealer who stocked Amaron batteries for cars, told us the same. In this case, I am skeptical to blame the dealers.
