bosch kit in sense is not manufactured by bosch. Its just another chinese make H.I.D.If you can spend more,go for philips which costs around 7500~8000 rs for a pair.
I can't recall the shops name, its somewhere between choksi motors and a tyre shop(dont know its name also).

Dude, you could walk the entire shop section in Milan in two minutes. Just go ask from shop to shop. You might end up doing that anyway. aaw! Please don't mind my ranting. Just feeling bored.

Anyway, may be a good idea to see if you could get a friend to share the HID cost. They come in pairs and you'll need only one.

The bike won't start in the morning unless I use the choke and I will keep the engine idling for 3-4 mins. Also, I observe that the beats are not uniform, it gradually tries to die down even idling rpm is high. Then, the bike behaves as if it is hitting the reserve and jerks a lot. It continues for well, 3-4 kms of the ride. Also, on empty stretch of Hosur Road, i try to do the top speed, but when I shift from 4th to 5th at around 90-95kmph and wring the throttle, the power surge goes down as if the engine will die and also jerks a lot.

I've complained twice to sai motors regarding the same, but nothing has happened till now. The second time I gave it to service, the service was well done and bike was good only for 3-4 days. From then onwards, I am having this trouble. I have to check out this thing with some good mechanics/service centers in Bangalore. Guys, please advise.

I can't plan any long rides since the bike sits in service center over the weekend . I will try my luck with other service centers before making the ultimate decision.
Wish I had all these troubles with my previous zma so that I wouldn't have to buy the same bike again. I really miss my previous ride.

Now that ZMR is launched, i think all attention goes to ZMR at service centers and not for ZMA/ZMA-R.
Hay, seems your problem is bad tuning of the carb. Go to a good mechanic and he will do it.

along with the tuning,do checkout the throttle cable.I had the jerking problem once, but replacing it did the trick.costs around 60 bucks(in your case, tuning will do i guess)

          • Tuesday 23 September the day when i was reborn. Being a proud zma owner i used to protect her from every evil eye and scratch. But that day i was lucky that i cud protect myself. had some work in the market, so rode my zma at 7 in the morning, road was near empty so was going around 60ks. a few kms latr saw a wet patch so slowed to arond 35, a guy on a splendour who was riding around 10 metres on the left and ahead of me suddenly braked and took a right turn from in front of me and i banged into him. had no time to brake, I had a fracture in my back bone, and some bruises. was wearing a helmet so no head injury. The doctor said i was lucky i wasnt paralysed..now on bed for 1 1/2 months cant even sit up till then..and the bike is gone..the silencer cover is bent and scratched, the front footpeg console is gone, strangely the fairing is intact but will have to check for minor cracks, the tank strangely has a bullet hole like dent, will get to know about others when i see the bike myself....FYI

Livetoride, That is very sad news and I am glad that you are recovering well, and glad that you were lucky enough not to get paralyzed. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Seems not much of a damage to the bike. So do not worry. The fairing of ZMA is strong, but there is very high chance that the joints inside the fairing broke. Check for that.

                            • Hi mates,

One of my friends has 2.5 years old Unicorn. We are planning to change the Unicorn's engine to ZMA engine.

Can anyone help us to get a good Zma engine in Bangalore or Mysore. We just need the engine in good condition.

                              Thanks in advance.
