  • Need help in finding M 45 michelin tyre for my Karizma

Thanks for all for replying for my query regardign selecting back tyre for my Karizma for getting
better grip on wet tarmac for my 5 day road trip .
Now the problem is as many suggested i decided to go for Michelin M 45 4 * 18 .But it is not at all
avaialable in chenaai . i enquired many places but cannot find it . Some has 3* 18 but it dosnt suit my
    bike(less than sotck size) .
So i have decide to go for MRF Zapper Q 110/90 * 18 . But i want to know the detials fo the same.
beign my stock size 100/90 *18 , do i have to remove my Chain cover to install Zappe Q 110/90 * 18 ?
Have any one tried 110/90 * 18 in Karizma ? (i have seen Karizma with 120/80 nad 100/90(stock) but i
    have never seen any 110/90 *18 ) .
i would liek to knwo is 110/90 * 18 zapper Q is a direct fit for my Zma without removign chain guard.
i dont want to go for 120/80 since i dont want such heavy/wide tyre taht may drop my accelaration /Top
    end/ mileage..
i would like to know Zapper Q 's performace on Wet roads..
Most imporatantly if any one know any place in tamilnadu/kerala/andrapradesh/karnatka where i can get
m45 michelin that will be great.i can happily go for micheln m 45 without any doubt or question

    • @Steve, adulteration is possible. but if you take average of the three tank full's you've got about 45 kmpl. I think that is somewhere near to what you'd normally get if you ride the bike gently.

while counting mileage there can be different problems like where did the tank full stop...

it'll make the throttlecrisp a little bit but will make a huge dent on the average for sure.............

        yup...

Amco or Amco Yuasa? If its Amco, I'll be really surprised... they seem to make crap now...

            • i just came to know from my friend that the self starter of karizma is worth 6ooo.

he got it replaced today itself.

if it is true then it is very expensive i think.

wat we should do to increase its life.

All Karizma parts have such premium prices. Supposedly they are made of better quality and should last for a long time. The only thing you can do is to make sure that the starter is not used to crank the engine continuously for more than 5 sec at a time. Also, if possible early morning starts should be done using the kick.

                  • In the name of lord can some one tell me where can I get the tappet adjusted of my zma,The guy at my Sc has supposedly fixed it thrice but the noise persists and I suffer from the incurable OCD of not being able to withstand any rattles or noises from my bike.
                    I am from mumbai.
Also I wanted to check back with you guys that what should be the setting for the tappets so that atleast I can go and tell him the same and not try and live by his rather indegenious methods.
And lastly if the tappets starts making noises ,does that indicate something? I mean I usually dont ride my bike harshly and it has completed one year so should the tappet noise be coming in the first place.

                    please help.

                    with regards,
                    Amit

                      • A small query for my 2005 ZMA
How much is the fuel tank capacity?
                        How many litres of Reserve
How much of the reserve is usable?
                        How much is the deadstock?

                        please reply ASAP.

I have been checking for a while now. I get somewhere between 40-42kmpl ( constantly)which includes shirt bursts of 100-120 once in a while.

And just on the lighter side: OT: I asked my friend yesterday how much mileage his P200 gives him ( its almost 6 months old now).. he replied: " Will check after Diwali"

2 ltr and can completely use and then start pushing
And before reserve when fuel guage has one block blinking then u have 4 Ltrs in tank including reserve OR I can say 2ltr more to get into reserve.

Well Thanks Rocky. When i fill for 200 bucks, I see 2 blocks.
I dont rely on the fuel gauge. Just calculate mentally. the Pulsar's taught me not to rely on the fuel gauge.

Deadstock is usually the amount of unusable petrol which is in the tank.

I dont understand the concept of HH guys saying u can fill in 15 but we can actually fill upto 17. Did they mean 15 litres after reserve? that makes some sense though

It is calculated upto the end of the filler cap, though you can go beyond that by a litre or two. The company does not recommend it due to danger of overflow.

Is there any one here used Michelin M 45 4 * 18 as rear tyre?

after searching a lot at last i found one M 45 and was going to buy this weekend but now in one of the forums on net i read that M 45 will reduce the top speed and better remove chain guard as it will almost touch the chain guard. Please throw some light in to this

i am not at all interested if i loose the top speed and have to remove the chain guard .. If an one have experience with Michelin M 45 4 * 18 a Please reply as soon as possible .
