And thanks alot sir, for the speedy replies...
The head leak is nothing, the valve bend can be checked only by the Mechanic with proper tools, and so is the valve leak..once ASC open engine for the Bore kit you can ask them to check it for the valve bend and valve seat leak....

Sir, today I saw a DIY for setting valve clearance for 100cc HH bikes, like Splendor etc... If possible i.e if by chance you'r setting you'r valves by you'r self then, can you please post a DIY the next time you do it.

I hope by now, you understand how desperate I am, and how much senseless the SVC guys here are....

Me too want to know the details on setting valve clearance . And i only let my bike be touched by the senior mechanic. If other mechanics try to fiddle with my ride am gonna cut their hands . Seriously i ensure that every time i go to SVC I did 3k km only problem was valve setting and a buzzer change well a burnt reflector too.

Coming Soon problems : Tensioner Change( Expected) .

Then a few days back, my mechanic told me he has got a clue to a 2006 model scrapped karizma whose body parts are fine. He quoted 6k to change the headlight, fuel tank and body panels. Is it a fair deal?

BTW, whats would be the cost of new body? I was thinking of getting it in white if going for a new one. Suggestions please!!!!!!

when i enquired in showroom 2 months back he told me it will cost around

1200rs for each side visor , 1500 for headlight assbly , 6000 for fuel tank , 2200 for one side panel

The procedure for setting valve clearance is well explained in your owners manual .. or it was last time I read it . I've got everything I need for a DIY on the tappits(as they say) , other than a torque-wrench and suitably angled feeler-gauge . Seriously though , they charge just 50 Rs (by the herohonda service prices book) to set the valves clearance, so I would not bother myself . But Ashwin , with those performance figures .. i'd not suspect valve-problems with your bike and look elsewhere .

Sir, I guess the HH people might've changes the contents of the isntruction manual, since its not there on mine.

And by looking elsewhere, where exactly should I look????

Setting the valve clearance is a DIY in ZMA too...if you know how..
I had not so far done it in my pre-owned ZMA, since there is no tappet noise. I had done about 2,000 Kms so far, and I do run speeds of 70 to 80 in city and 110-120 on highway. The difference is that I rev gradually and not whack open the throttle...so I guess my settings are good still....
When I do happen to open the valve door to do adjustment, I will post the DIY...
For the time being you can get it done with the ASC like Pinaki Ji said .

Valve clearance procedure not given in the manual . And when my valve setting was not correct there was a lag in pick up am sure about that . There will be a change in perfomance which can only be noticed if looked in carefully .

My SVC mechanic did it correctly. JCT motors has a very good reputation for bad service centre . But so far i didn't experience anything like that. The problem is too much bikes and they are busy all time . Seems like i wont experience valve problem since i am not that aggressive on my bike always . But am really interested to learn just how to do it
