Buy safety gear, it really helps. I have had a fall in the city on my Fiero at around 80kmph. The riding jacket took all the brunt & I had only bruised knees, after which I also started putting on the knee guards. Everyday people stare at me with the all the gear on & think I am into racing, but I just ride at my pace. I also get thumbs up from couple of riders & other car drivers for wearing it even in blazing hot sun.

Very true! Even when I fell on the highway at 60 km/hr, I did not get even a single scratch on my body! Just a very small blood clot in my left leg and some pain for a day. But the safety gear took all the beating. The jacket was torn a bit, my jean was torn a bit around my knees and the knee pads saved my knees. Then my left glove was again full gone but I was all safe! This was when I realized the value of all the gears I wear.
Nowadays everyday I wear a jacket, helmet and gloves. Long rides add the knee pads, elbow pads and all..

dont know whats is wrong with my zma. i had turned AFR at 2.75 turns, and i am only getting 31kmpl in city. ZMA has done 530kms air filter in proper condition ,oil changed at 290 kms.
        what can be the issue?
,try atleast 3.5 turns,3.5turns is the correct settings,if you go below 3.5turns,you will loose the feel of your ride.

I'd never remove the saree guard, all my friends recommended to remove it, but you know.... deep down inside my gut reflex told me not to do it, and yipppe!!! I can walk. The saree guards made of real sturdy material.
Yeah, I had two options go head first onto the bus or do a dead 90 degree cornor jamming the brakes real hard as a I can. I chose the latter.

I don't know whether one can remember this - but if at all possible let go of the bike if in a possibility of high speed crash .
My two such crashes saw me walk away . In the 1st one my RX100 was under a lorry though the tires didn't touch it -was around 50 kmph . 2nd at around 70 - 90 kmph -same RX .There was a small curve and after that a bump the day before . Well , that was the day before . On that day , there were 6 or 7 or 8 small bumps in it's place . I normally jump the bump but on that day I let go of the handle as the tyre lost traction upon hitting the 2nd (I guess so) bump . Had to drag the bike from under the Military Hospital ( those familiar with Kannur can identify the place) culvert - after I got up from the road -with the help of friends who were coming behind me .
Anyway they changed it back to a single bump within a week .

Ride hard - be safe . There's nothing less macho in using your horn or the brakes .
Have ya seen the movie in which a girl asks usher to swim and he says "MEN DONT FLOAT"... Just like that "MEN DONT FALL ON THEIR RIGHT" .
And am glad your still here to speak about the RX incident. Many are'nt that lucky, especially with light weight rides.

Advice already taken into consideration, Will start saving up for safety gear, but am not exactly sure about its availability in kerala.

I do not know .What I do know is that the RTR front disc pads suit the ZMA without any problem.....
Best to take the ZMA seal with you and try to see if it matches the RTR ones...or if you have knowledgeable Mechanic he can definitely give the correct info.

Unfortunately they dont fit! You will have to get the kit from HH and be prepared to shell out around 800 bucks! The smart people sell the seals for each piston at nearly 400 bucks while bajaj etc sell the entire rubber kit for just over 100 bucks!

Just had my clutch replaced at Service Center. Told the mechanics to check my clutch and replace if anything needs replacing. Well, Actually nothing is wrong, at least not that I can notice, but I don't like to replace parts only after they are broken if I can help it. My bike has done 22k, so my guess is its about time to replace clutch so I went ahead and replaced them. Mechanics said they are bit weak. Whatever.

Don't ask me what they all mean, perhaps some experts can shed some light. But here what my bill says.

                    Description Rate

                    Plate Clutch ------------------------ 35.11

                    • Just had my rear tire replaced two days back . The one on my Pulsar was a Dunlop Monster which had done < 1000 km and the MRF on the ZMA R has done > 10000 km .Swapped them since I won't be getting any real monetary benefit when selling the P180 with the Monster on .
The guy at the tire shop has kept the tire pressure at 35 where as 29 is recommended for solo and 33 for pillion ride . Have to get it down to 31-32 (well , I'm heavy ) . Will that tire pressure be OK ?
Pics of the bikes and thread are attached . In the background is my Palio GTX 1.6 .

That is just sad. i almost spent close to 3.3k only on the braking parts.and i have to shell another 800 bucks, shucks.i wonder why they dont give any specific size for these seals.now the last resort is to check the bullet's caliper.

                        • Back home after getting the bike washed, cause am planning to get it waxed(courtesy Aneesh bro.) tomorrow. The guys at the car wash, washed my bike so hard that the HH logo on the handle clamp came off!!!

And went to SVC earlier. They said the tensioner had arrived and due to lack of time postponed my repair to next saturday. Hope everything goes well with my ride.

                          Completed 1395Kms as of now.
