So for guys who are planning on opting for the crash guard, SKIP IT!!! THE SAREE GUARDS ALL THE PROTECTION YOU'LL NEED!!!
I was planning on removing it - but now I've decided to get a crash guard before I remove it .

Nothing much me and bike got bruised abit, Yup sir it was a fair one wearing a red saree that caused my spill, She had a BIG REAR END ... With "KSRTC" written on it...

It was on the Bangalore-Mysore highway at around 60 km/hr. There was a huge stone on the middle of the road and it was 3:30 a.m. Very low visibility and phat I went down. Luckily both me and my ride escaped with very very minor injuries. Thank God!
Glad you were not injured .

Yup have to say the plastics are way superior than tvs bikes. Cause my bike glided for some time before comming to a halt and that to balancing only on the left indicator and saree guard and still the indicator didnt break. Thank god for that.
Is there a law banning falling on the right side?

Skipped the tetanus shot cause theres not even a scratch on my body, as i said sir, Just a few bruises, the bike took all the beating.
Even so you could've taken a tetanus shot .
And speaking of my sense of humour, I do have a DEADLY one... Cause when I wrecked my estilo at 140kmph,cops and bystanders thought I was dead, but I jumped out of the cockpit laughing like crazy, not even a scratch thanks to my guardian angel(and seat belt).
Oh dear . .and what did the bystanders and cops say ?
No matter how hard we wreck our ride it doesnt matter as long as we'r alright, cause money can buy a brand new zma, but cant buy life.
As long as it (the aggression in driving/riding) is controlled by your mind it's Ok . Money can't buy a clear conscience either in case something happens .

Apart from love for Kari something else in common !!I miss Tagore which I read from the library - gotta pick Gora again !
Do check your body for scratches and injuries, and i personally feel you should have the anti-tetanus injection, to safe guard yourself, since you fell on a road.
Even if you dont see a scratch on your body it's a good idea to get a tetanus shot in case you fall on the tarmac.
I'd never remove the saree guard, all my friends recommended to remove it, but you know.... deep down inside my gut reflex told me not to do it, and yipppe!!! I can walk. The saree guards made of real sturdy material.
Yeah, I had two options go head first onto the bus or do a dead 90 degree cornor jamming the brakes real hard as a I can. I chose the latter.

I don't know whether one can remember this - but if at all possible let go of the bike if in a possibility of high speed crash .
My two such crashes saw me walk away . In the 1st one my RX100 was under a lorry though the tires didn't touch it -was around 50 kmph . 2nd at around 70 - 90 kmph -same RX .There was a small curve and after that a bump the day before . Well , that was the day before . On that day , there were 6 or 7 or 8 small bumps in it's place . I normally jump the bump but on that day I let go of the handle as the tyre lost traction upon hitting the 2nd (I guess so) bump . Had to drag the bike from under the Military Hospital ( those familiar with Kannur can identify the place) culvert - after I got up from the road -with the help of friends who were coming behind me .
Anyway they changed it back to a single bump within a week .

Ride hard - be safe . There's nothing less macho in using your horn or the brakes .

The bike is a bit rough means the engine or the gears? Anyways how much did it cost you for changing the clutch plates?
There are many fakes of Castrol in the market. We suggest that you go for any JasoMA2 certified 20w40 oil. The bike runs on it much smoother than the 10w30 oils.

Will keep that in mind sir! But do not know if I will have the reflexes and the ability to let my bike go during a spill. Anyways glad you were safe too.

Get a tetanus shot first buddy as others have suggested. Try to plonk in a crash guard, it will really save you, you cannot just rely on the saree guard. Like someone here mentioned, what if you fall on the right side, there isnt one, but the crash guard will save you. At first you wont like the looks, but slowly you will like it.

Always ride wearing a helmet even if you are going to the grocery shop, there is no harm in wearing one rather repenting later.

No doubt you have come out clean, but you can never judje what will happen next time.

Buy safety gear, it really helps. I have had a fall in the city on my Fiero at around 80kmph. The riding jacket took all the brunt & I had only bruised knees, after which I also started putting on the knee guards. Everyday people stare at me with the all the gear on & think I am into racing, but I just ride at my pace. I also get thumbs up from couple of riders & other car drivers for wearing it even in blazing hot sun.

Prevention is always better than cure OR Better safe than sorry

P.S. : Above are my views & different people different views/opinions. So do not take me on the wrong side.

You have just said right. It is really disappointing that even after joining a biking community that offers Ride Safe tips apart from vehicle manufacturers and Govt. recommendations, still we Indians do care a little for our lives (that includes me as well). There were few times where I had not worn the helmet faced hard braking situations, I would not expect Almighty to keep giving chances. After xbhphians have lost his life (Bangalore), have ensured that helmet is worn no matter the distance.
