  • I finally changed the oil to Motul 3000 4T Plus today. The old oil measured to just 250-300ml

Also changes the oil drain cap and its O ring. The old one was too tight and just wasnt coming off even with a box spanner. Had to get it loosened up a bit from a mechanic and then did the rest myself

Only 250-300ml oil? Do you have any oil leak problem? My bike had the same problem before the engine overhaul, after a trip of 200kms,there will be less oil in the engine,so i have to top up oil after every 200kms.

I did mention about all the oil leak issues I had earlier. But then all that is fixed and no more leaks now.

Have air leak from my rear tyre though Will be replacing the read tube soon.

You are really lucky not to have had engine seizure...with only 300ml oil in engine.
Good you changed the oil drain nut along with ' O ' ring....and more importantly you did change the oil by yourself....

The leak was there for quite sometime and dint notice it in time. Also, kinda delayed the fix. The last oil leak fix was that of the Tensioner Gasket, which I changed only a few days back. This was first oil change after all the leaks were fixed

Which tube are you going to buy?
I thought you would reply with a answer for the same. I would have just gone to some type shop and asked for "a tube for karizma's rear tyre"
              Replied in bold

So you didn't check oil levels regularly? Please check these things at least once in a month.

Got them in a shop on JC road. Don't remember the name though. But all the shops had them. 80 bucks a piece. But a friend got a pair of blue ones for his R15 for 20 bucks a piece. A bit different from mine but I found the 20 buck one to be brighter. He told they had white ones also. Got to check them out this weekend.

I did, it was low and that is the reason why I changed the oil before hitting the usual 2k kms mark of oil use.

I have had my current tube for quite sometime now and never gave any problem. But the leak started after a puncture I had about a month back, I guess the tube wasnt fixed right.
Due to this I have had to fill air atleast twice a week. Time to change it.

I had similar experience on my KB100 on a old set bore done about 25 k on it...I had forgotten to check 2 T oil in tank and I was using in city only .i kept hearing screeching sounds occasionally, and on one such trip with a pillion the screeching was more...i did about 30 odd Kms in this condition and then it suddenly crossed my mind that i hadn't checked the 2 T oil in tank..sure enough there was none.I opened the bore and found that the bore was glazed and had a mirror like finish inside...May be this saved my bore and piston...I still have my KB100
