    • Reg. the authenticity of fiber parts, i can confirm that alteast the fairings do come with stickers pre applied from the factory

mine is a '05 model (golden 225 ones) but when i changed the fairing they came with "Karizma R" stickers.
and fairings were bought from the biggest HH dealer in MP

the zma's manual states that the brake oil should be replaced after 2 years, but i have never seen ASC guys changing the oil,, they just top it up and rather suggest against replacing it

should i replace the oil and if yes with which brand and should it be dot3/4??
i am growing old, but not up!

        It is a Hero Honda!

Now don't get me wrong, this is no fill-it, shut-it, forget-it bike, quite the antithesis of the typical econo-misers Hero Honda is famous for. Even then it is not a hole burner in the wallet for the good intelligent bits on the engine (digital dual map ignition, CCVI carb) have proved beneficial in this vital operating trait as well. The Karizma recorded a 40.56kmpl overall Fuel Efficiency figure with a best of 54kmpl and a worst of 28kmpl (this being in our flat out testing runs). In our city cycle the Karizma, with a tolerant right hand can be made to deliver 40kmpl consistently but even with some spirited riding (and with such a bike you better be spirited) she will deliver around 34kmpl which is very good. The one irritant, if it can be called that, is that the Karizma has a 15-litre fuel tank which is smaller in comparison to the Pulsar, thereby also constricting its operating range.

Yup. That means HH's generalizing spare parts, Bye bye pre 2011 spares.

In stock conditions any mileage whether higher than normal also means good.
More mileage, less engine life only happens when the bike has been manually tampered with or is old enough to sustain reasonable damage.

And another thing to keep under consideration is that Overdrive was talking about 2003 model, which generally means more aggressive acceleration with lesser mileage right? But since the above mentioned bike's giving a good mileage of 50+kmpl, then I guess the fact that it ultimately results on the rider is proven here.

              Additional.
My worst mileage ever is 23kmpl.

I don't think good economy would mean lesser engine life. In fact it would be opposite.

Regarding this clutch engagement issue I found that it is much easier to upshift (with half pressed clutch) while accelerating than while riding at constant speed. This is quite expected as while accelerating you keep on increasing your RPM and so there is RPM matching on upshifting. I find it very annoying to fully press clutch and then upshift when I am trying to clock as good as possible 0-60, so I use half clutch technique.

Well , a car has neutral gear between all it's gears!!
That was a good sale..., did you have to replace anything?Just replaced the spark plug with an NGK Iridium , changed the H/L bulb to 60/55 W . Also , I got a ROOTS Gladiator security system (aka - remote lock) with it .
Hehe.... C'mon dont tell me you never paid attention to you'r speedo???According to the ZMA speedo its at 55kmph,
Frankly , I just look at the speedo to see what speed I am doing . I've never noticed the 'optimum speed in gears ' marking

80 would be when you get a free road . That means you are in top gear and less gear shifts and that means better mileage . In lower speeds you normally in a crowded road where you have to occasionally zoom , change gear and go very slow - means lower mileage .

If I post a pic of me sitting on a ZMA which has puppy dog grafitti, what would be your first question????
Yup since ZMA's dont come that way you'd assume its custom painted, right?
I know for the fact ZMA did not make bikes for the kids and for sure it is a personal choice! How can you compare a fibre part with puppy dog grafitti? You could have as well ignored my post than coming up with some great intellect example of your thought process. I learned something from you today!

Yup sir was abit exited when I saw the pics(and was kinda hoping for them to be cheap replacements), thats a fact. I've been looking hard for ZMA replacement parts that are'nt authentic but of similar quality and way cheaper. But theres nothing up for now.

Was just trying to prove my point sir, and the puppy dog grafitti was just an example. Take the dual tone pulsars for example. If you see me riding one you'd by default assume that I'd got it custom painted right??? UNLESS you've before hand got the news that the company's making them like that.

But still am confused why you stuck with my puppy dog example, dont you think its kinda odd??

                          And Hell Yeah!!! Im Unique!!!!
