I had complained of tappet noise on my 4th service & they set the tappets but still the noise came so the head mechanic said, it might be the camshaft or the rocker arms. So the next day the head was opened & voila the camshaft is kaput & it has also damaged the rocker arm. So got both changed under warranty.

Touch wood ALL IZ WELL !!!! now.

No worries. Anyways here's my 50ps worth experience.

There are currently 2 stunner crash guard available. The old type for the stunners without belly cowl(its similar to the dazzler guard and it DANGEROUSLY close to the fairing.) and the new type for the stunners with belly cowl(thats the one im using and the same you'r holding in the pic.).

There are also two generations of the second mentioned crash guard i.e the one for stunner with belly cowl.

1.They are the butterfly type which's kinda similar to the 1st mentioned crash guard i.e one for stunner without belly cowl but flat at the bottom to accomodate the belly cowl, this is the type that can be used in ZMAR without touching its belly cowl.

2.The second generation is the one you'r holding. Nothing special, needs to remove ZMAR's belly cowl for it to fit though it can be done otherwise but with greater effort.

65 is the price in my mind too. Any regrets of not buying a new one? My plan is to buy a used zma and install Joel's big bore kit. btw dont know the cost of the kit. I sent a pm to him. Waiting for his reply.

Explain, I think it should be 5w.
And, is 55/60 Philips Extreme good enough??? Please post cost and other details/experiences.
No relays used for the Bosch dual horns??

                    • Try HP Power!

Hey guys, my Karizma R ran 246.7 kms when filled with Rs 500 normal fuel(HP) (7.35 litres)...whereas Rs 500 HP Power (octane rating 93, I guess) (7.02 litres) helped my bike to run 267.2 kms; riding conditions almost same in both cases.
Please try it once. A ~Rs 3 / litre extra won't disappoint you.

I did not measure the quantity, since I was more keen on getting the Master cylinder filled without air lock...It is less than 100ml....
Price of TVS DOT 4 oil 250ml is rs.75/-

but the oil looks to be yellowish in color on my bike, and i suppose HMC uses dot4
Old DOT 4 oil look yellow since it is going bad...Originally DOT 4 TVS fluid is transparent .
                        replies in bold.

The octane rating is a measure of how likely a gasoline or liquid petroleum fuel is to self ignite. The higher the number, the less likely an engine is to pre-ignite and suffer damage. Octane rating does not relate to the energy content of the fuel. It is only a measure of the fuel's tendency to burn in a controlled manner, rather than exploding in an uncontrolled manner. - From Wikipedia.

So using fuel with higher octane rating becomes an important factor in bikes with powerful engines, with compression powers capable of burning the fuel very rapidly.

As far as I can tell, ZMA is not one such machine, so there wouldn't really be big or any benefit in using fuel with higher octane number. Probably the normal fuel you bought at the petrolbunk was contaminated (or worse, they cheated while filling)? And though the roads you rode the bike were same/similar, probably something else affected the FE, things such as shifting frequency/tyre pressure etc. Also probably the HP Power was completely clean/uncontaminated which increases the difference even more - afterall its product advertised as better than the rest, so I doubt if they'd mess with it.

Next time try filling up normal petrol at a Shell bunk, see if you see such a drastic drop again. If not, never get the normal petrol from that HP bunk.

Once there was a day that my speedo needle was at 132-133 kph with pillion...now hardly crosses 125kph! And single, it does max 135 kph
