If you want the horns to be up then fasten them to the reflector rod or fairing rod.... then they'll be inside the fairings...

          • Suspension Issues ZMA R

            Hi,

i have been facing issue with my Front and rear suspension of bike, have shown it to the showroom but no resolution. The front suspension does not sink in properly to absorb shocks resulting in direct transfer of shocks to bike causing damage to front mud cover, and rear fiber parts.

can any one suggest on this whether i should get them refilled and tuned up or replace them. the bike is 2 years old and has traveled 22000 KM's so far.

i drive about 44 km a day, any suggestions welcomed here or
my personal email : [email protected]

I'm also thinking for the aux lamps then.. Please do post some pics with headlamps and aux lamps ON during night. Thanks again.
Imjoshee has an awesome setup which any tourer including me would die for! I was determined to put some aux lights on my bike a month back. But after adding a headlight relay and a Philips Premium 55/60w halogen bulb, I am very much satisfied with the throw. Total cost was Rs180(relay)+ Rs85(bulb)+ wires and stuff. So give this a shot before going for aux lights.

@psr sir: The Three Bond liquid gasket seems to be holding as of now. No oil leaks during the past 2 days but not much riding. Will be hitting the highway tomorrow for a couple of hours. Hope the gasket can take the beating!
We are miles away from the routine.

Please anyone who has done it, explain from this........
"Original horn removed, now we have two wires, now please complete the circuit theoretically here..."
Either problem with the battery or some wire's loose (assuming your horns are OK )

Actually , it's advisable to have relay for every additional loads.

Horns relay needs 2 supplies. 1 directly from battery & another from horn switch , if anyone is absent then you will hear a tick sound only . & if both connections are present still you hear tick sound then either relay or horns are problematic.
                  Check battery also
As you said rain is affecting horns then it might be you horns needs cleaning the carbons from point & plate connector .
Try if you can post a picture of Horns , relay .

                  @ Above_All

Bro i had to adjust the screw behind the horn to get it worked in old condition,So is it normal to adjust it after a full dismantle?
Since you have dismantled it , the original settings would go for a toss especially If you happen to change the cardboard diaphragm .

@Above_all and others... Bosch relay? I got the relays from a local mechanic costing Rs 100 each, it has got 3 terminals...anyone explain the use of the 3 terminals alongwith the wires to be connected to 'em. I'm quite sure that relays are poor, so I'm gonna switch to Bosch as suggested here.
I got a MICO relay for 130/- . It too has 3 wires . Haven't connected it yet . As per a diagram I've seen on another forum ( giving that diagram here won't be that correct , I guess) one goes to positive of horn , another to positive of battery and the 3rd to the positive output of the switch . I guess the horn's negative does the job of negative terminal ( grounding).

My MICO relay says "relay" on it and it has 3 wires (4 terminals , but 2 wires are joined into one . See pics please

You can keep the face of the horn (the hole) facing downwards and see whether it works . That way , any water that gets in gets drained out immediately .

Iridium sparkplugs won't improve performance, nor will ExtraPremium/Speed/Power branded petrol. Infact it is just normal petro with some additives, like they say anti-knocking and injector cleaners.

no improvement in performance felt the same as with normal petrol only difference was economy dropped to 31 ( ripping economy )

XtraPremiums bad for the vehicle, be it car or bike.

XtraPremium has additives that results in complete combustion* and also results in rusting of the petrol tank(everyone who's ever owned a maruti knows this.).

                                * Theres a course that specialises in oil mining and all(forgot the name), people who's doing that course knows the reason. And how it negatively affects the vehicle.
