Cause its these scratches that remind us that "ITS ONLY A BIKE" and we're more important than it.

Cause before scratching the bike, I was scared of leaving it out in public.
Say if I was doing my exams I'd be more concerned about my bike in the parking lot. And same goes for taking it out to places. Also if the bikes about to loose control on road then we may try saving it while putting our own lives at risk.

So with the scratch there we'd be less paranoid, and will be able to expect the worst case scenario in case of a spill.

Sir, not that some of us did not understand your point. I would think the influence of HH/whatever via medias and service station personnel recommendations had let to hypnotism. Please continue your contribution as you've been doing all the while. The wiser knows the difference and yield benefit. Having said that, we can mere share and recommend the best practices and the tried and tested experience; that leaves to an individual to decide the best.

In this case, would encourage Aneesh to try if confident of using Honda 10w30 and post experience.

Afterall, Neither God nor me can stop anyone from experimenting.

I know bro, thats the prob with bikes, I'd replaced my ZEN's whole body kit for just 11k(10.5k for one side without insurance and 500rs for the other side with insurance).

Aneesh also has to get some claim amount if I remember properly.

Yeah I've added a crash guard. To be frank I had no intention to, I just wanted to get rid of the stupid belly cowl, cause it makes a weird sqeeky noise when the bolts are loose and its damn irritating. The reason I added the crash guard was to prevent the crank case from getting scratched in a spill since the belly cowl's been already removed.

And yes they can be added with the belly cowl intact too. Just use the same crash guard I've used, just advise the mech to do it without removing the bellycowl its 45min work.

And speaking about Xenon, only go for it if you really need them. I thought about them at first but when I switched to 55/60 bulbs(46rs) I just felt they were suitable and dropped the HID idea completely.
Though its all based on the riders choice. But when adding Xenons for them to be street legal you'd also have to add projectors, and for that you'd have to cut open you'r headlight dome and glue it back after completion, but the prob is after a few months of moderate use, water will start leaking in.

              So its all upto you.

              + Of removing belly cowl.
              *No irritating vibes or sounds.

              - Of removing belly cowl.
*Leg gets heated up when crosswinds appear.
*Affects the R looks of the bike(ignore it, cause the bike looks HOT without the R looks).
*Loss of reflectors(most people ignore it, but while crossing at night, its a real life saver especially since mines black.).
*Loss of aero dynamics(even though hard to believe its a fact, those without the cowl, try accelerating hard when the wind blows from the opp. side.).
*Crank case gets scratched during a spill(this issue solved by crash guard).

So my final conclusion is, GET RID OF THAT STUPID THING!!!

              • And guys my ride's developed a minor slack in acceleration while running on high gears.
Its like when after de-accelerating, I try to accelerate but for a few milli seconds theres no response, but after that the acceleration starts kicking in.
Whats the reason???? Im starting to suspect the sparkplug. What say people???

                • If it was the spark-plug , you'd have problem starting up too . Check/clean/replace it anyway for peace of mind . Then dismantle the right handle grip , grease the throttle cable spindle and the handle on which the grip is mounted , re-assemble it . Check/ clean/ replace air-filter . If problem persists .. you may have to clean the carburetor and replace the float pin . Ofcourse this is my faltu guesswork .. hands on .. any mechanic will do way better .

The cable tensions perfect, just tested it a few days back so is the throttle.

My bike doesnt start(initially) without choke, does that qualify for a starting problem. And whats the proper way for gaping a sparkplug??

Is it OK if I go for the regular SVC technique by tapping the bent rod and then pushing a hack saw blade in between???

                      Not good, not good.

Changed the signature for a better cause. Now, I need to find a can of Motul 3000 4T Plus - Jaso MA2 20W40 Mineral, as I am eager to try the Motul brand. Also the boric acid treatment.

The above posts are derived from aggregation of opinions of several xBhp ZMA riders, based on personal experience/common sense. Please be advised that some things might differ from manufacturer's recommendations.

No , it's normal to use choke for morning cold-starts . Shouldn't need choke anymore during the day though .
Heck NO ! get a spark-plug tool .. it's a cheap thingy . mine has different thickness wires (for measuring the gap) on a plastic tab and a cleaning blade and wrench for gripping the tip and changing the gap . you can it use it for cars and other vehicles too . Normal nickel plugs should be cleaned with a bit of fine grit (800+) emery paper , lightly . Then blow off the dust .
                        Check the air filter .
Did you change your bunk recently or left the bike unused with petrol in tank for sometime ? Try running the bike on premium/speed petrol from a reliable bunk for two weeks .
If all else fails .. you've to clean out the carb , replace the float pin or other things necessary . I suspect it's not providing the fuel flow needed at high speeds owing to i) gummy deposits ii) malfunctioning float/float- pin .
