Any idea how to mod the bike for short riders? I have to stretch too much to reach the handle and usually end up sitting almost on the tank. I am 5'7".

@ Shadu, IMHO 5'7" was never a problem for karizma riders as i myself around 5'9" which is of not much difference find it comfy. If you still want to mod something, try fiddling with the handle bar that is comfy for you, might be something of the Bullet might help you. Secondly, raise the saddle height by introducing foam layers from inside. Hope this worksOriginally posted by shadu View PostAny idea how to mod the bike for short riders? I tried with a bigger handle but when braking front tyre tends to lock. I sometimes ride my friends cbz which fits me well.

Bigger Handle bars are never a culprit for the Wheel lock-up's but the braking style is. If you're able to brake well in your existing Karizma bar or your friend's CBZ, then it's the lack of confidence on bigger bars that does the trick of locking the front wheel.Originally posted by shadu View PostI tried with a bigger handle but when braking front tyre tends to lock. If you cant ride it then why did you buy it???
But anyways no worries bro, my 5.5 friend who owns a FZS(He's not at all comfortable with the bike, according to him more strain is required to ride it considering the ZMA's handle bar position.) can easily ride and maneuver my ZMA and that too better than me.
But still, if you're not comfortable then sell it and get a CBZ or any other bike. Cause ultimately its the riders comfort that matters.Motorcycling Experience:

Here's what I've done with my new pair of WindTone's.
Was planning ti fit one on each side, but the silencer pipe got in the way.
Here's a good piece of ADVICE, never use FLASHY colored wire's, cause they really stand out.
Here's the BOSH relay, its fixed where the stock horn used to be.
Here's the battery (+) wire, the whole setup including strapping the wire was done without removing the tank, to bring the wire to the opposite side of the bike i.e the battery side, using a torch light, see if there are any small gaps, and bridge the wire through it.
Here's the grounding i.e (-)

Joke's apart , why not fit them on crash guard with a clamp or just twisting the metal fitting plates .
A different color of wires would be very easy to understand the connection .
Bosch Relay ? Is it of horn's ? cost ?
Use a 4 number hole round clip for the ground connection .
At last i would suggest you just lower the mouth of horn little downward , as precaution so by anychance some water got spread on it can't get enter inside easily .
BTW nice job & how much those roots windtone cost you ?

Hehe, thats the right way to place them according to the manual, else would've placed them in a more good looking manner.

Too lazy. and those are'nt stable, the vibes would easily make them get loose.

Yeah had that in mind, but unluckily the only 2.5mm wires available were in RED, and I really hate them cause the're really flashy.
Yeah the BOSCH horn relay, I like them cause they've got 2 (87)'s where as the ROOT's one's got only 1 (87).
Relay costs about 130Rs, these were the relays used with my first pair, but somehow they short circuited.
Use a 4 number hole round clip for the ground connection .
What you see is a custom made round clip, took a piece of wire, and stripped a 1inch area in the mid portion of the wire and on both ends fixed clips, so the stripped mid portion is looped around the nut before tightening it.
At last i would suggest you just lower the mouth of horn little downward , as precaution so by anychance some water got spread on it can't get enter inside easily .
The maker's have designed it in such a way that no mater, even if you pour water inside it while its in this position, it wont damage the horns. Thats why I earlier mentioned why I placed them so i.e in accordance with the manual.

Thanks bro
. The windtones cost 550Rs.

No bro if you have tighten them they won't get loose . But can't say if you mostly ride @ high speed .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostToo lazy. and those are'nt stable, the vibes would easily make them get loose.
Alternately you can use a 1-18 polycab electric wires , they are also good & cheaper than the wires available in automobile shops . I used those polycab wires for both Windtone & Vibrasonic horns .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostYeah had that in mind, but unluckily the only 2.5mm wires available were in RED, and I really hate them cause the're really flashy.Bro i don't get what is that part i marked as bold above ?Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostYeah the BOSCH horn relay, I like them cause they've got 2 (87)'s where as the ROOT's one's got only 1 (87).
I have those roots windtone horns & they are damaged several times due to water going inside .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostThe maker's have designed it in such a way that no mater, even if you pour water inside it while its in this position, it wont damage the horns. Yup you're right bro, at higher speed the bike vibe's hard thus causing it to get loose, and I also dont want to take risk, since many Karizma rider's have even lost their chain guards due to high speed riding.

Yeah polycab also looks neat, I just went for the 2.5mm's cause the manual said so, I suspect the earlier horns shorting out was cause of cheap speaker wires used by local mech.
Bro i don't get what is that part i marked as bold above ?
The (87) pin is the one which we connect to the (+) of windtone. The BOSCH has 2 of them while ROOTS has only one.

Check how you've placed the horns, will post a pic in 5 mins showing how to correctly place them.Motorcycling Experience:

It must've submerged in a pothole filled with rain water.Motorcycling Experience:
