As per the info I got from the SVC where I take my bike, it is the same as yours, that if you have to buy the entire indicator.

Hey bro, same here. I want LED strips kinda thing but not like what normal street bikers put on their fairing or on the rear panel. I want some decent looking stuff. January onwards I'll postpone some trips so that I can save some money for these light mods(LED pilots first).
Are you using HID? with projector or without?? Details please. You can reply about this in private also. I really wanna know about them.

Besides that there is a 2year/30k warranty anyway I can find a solution within that time .

Bro, atleast there SVC guys bother to test ride the bike and really trust on what you are saying. Here when I was up to the SVC with my bike's genuine problem of rpms not going beyond 5k rpm then without even inspecting he thought I am a new rider and I do not know the rpm vs speed function of my bike...He said "ye rpm alag hai, ye speed alag hai... dono needle saath saath nahi move karte n bla bla" Lucky you.
And yes, your step by step demo idea is good; good luck!

The thing is I am a frequent visitor to the SVC . And I always give suggestions when any problem comes to my ride and finally it ends that I was right so when I say something they take it seriously. In the beginning they also tried to fool around with me but they realised that I know a bit about technical aspects (thanks to xbhp) so no more trouble .

And one tip : Just maintain a good relation with the mechanics ( give them some tip when they do a good job with your bike ) they will be happy to help you next time.

LOL, if it was'nt rectified then I would'nt go on blabbering about it.
And, now for us its like a game, we're seeing who'll rip the SVC guys more, he's way ahead of me, but in a few months I'll get the SVC guys to replace my whole upper head portion including rocker arms etc, so I guess then that'll be a tie. But am confused about what reasons I should provide to achieve the same.

Dont go for the LED setup, go for the Angel eye setup, cause they look more genuine and are a million times better than the led strips used by the local mod guys. Am planning for HID upgrade, but have'nt got enough cash yet, if I get then am going to get the ones with digital balast, and here's the info I've gathered.

        1. No PROJECTOR ever.
        2. If you're worried about stray glare then do an external fox on the headlamp.

No matter where, the SVC suck, and that too literally, here the guys cleaned my centrifugal filter during 1st service .

                • I guess it will be sometime before i ask a query, but luck has other plans. I am facing an issue with the ZMA-R i have. After starting (kick/self) as soon as i twist the accelerator (even by slightest movement of wrist) the engine shuts off. This happens irrespective of whether engine is hot or cold (idling is at 1000 mark). Today morning the bike started in 4-5 kicks but 500 m ahead at a speed hump the bike stopped and i could not get it to move even though engine would start every time. I had no choice but to push it to my apt which was close by. After 5 mins i tried again and this time the engine did rev up so i drove to my office. I will be giving the bike to service at Bhagat Motors on Whitefield Rd in couple of hours. Till then can any one tell me what the issue could be ?

Ashwin i think in that type of tube there would be only one led at one end or 2 on both ends , which emit light in tube , can you check it with the clear version & give details .

Bikes running uber lean, maybe due to wrong AFR setting or tight valves.
But before you conclude why dont you ride the bike for a while and when the engines real hot, then set the idle RPM to 1800, and see if the problem exists anymore.

Thanks ashwin, just came back from the ASC where i have given the bike for servicing. Service guy too thought that AFR could be lean, he said he will set it to PEAK, dunno what this means but looks like he implied neither too rich nor too lean. The clock was getting reset and odo was not working anymore which could be due to loose wires or circuit going kaput (It was working till yesterday). Fairing was vibrating, he said he will try to fix this by adding rubber pads etc. He does not have a new fairing in stock so will do best he can. Total estimate is about 1700-2000. Will get my bike tomorrow EOD.

750 for service charge + oil, 100 for air filter, 350 for spark plug and oil filter cleaning , 400 for some fairing parts , 50 for indicator buzzer. The max he said would be 2000.

Bro, this happens sometimes due to air-lock in the petrol tank, and opening the cap and again closing it works fine for me.
Your next problem "riding 500m and then engine shut off in the morning", don't you do proper warm up in the mornings? In the initial few hundred metres, the bike might feel sluggish pick-up or even shut down when you're tending to raise the rpms by a large margin due to:
                              1. either you are not warming up the bike properly
                              2. or you are using a thick oil 20w40 or something
                              3. or what Ashwin has mentioned, AFR is lean
                              4. or maybe something is wrong with your CDI unit (PSR Sir, am I correct here?)

750 service charge + oil is too much I think
whereas 100 for air filter is too less

buddy 2000 is too much. The cost that you quoted is perfect only for buzzer. Not for any other thing. Please go to some other place and find the cost. 750 for service charge + oil is also high, rest of the cost mentioned is much more.
