Yes Sir, I was thinking about the tap washers. I'll post the pics.
Or, can we use general small rubber bands that come with sweets-box in the market in daily purpose, by turning them and making a tight loop kinda thing?

It is a good idea, but the rubber band will perish soon and form a gooey mess, which will take a lot of effort to get rid of.
Alternatively if you have patience, get a used cycle tube and cut & make the washer as required by you....

Yes, it requires very less patience. I'll ask nearby cycle-puncture repairing shops for providing me small rubber loops according to the size. Thank you, Sir

Aneesh introduced me to these, We call'em cycle tubes, they are free and last real long, and and the best part is they're customizable, i.e take a scissor and CUSTOMIZE.

Just go to a nearby cycle wala or shoe shop and ask them, they've got tons of crap stuff like this.

              • Today an embarrassing issue happened I went to college today which is 25 kms away and after returning as I do usual put the bike in center stand and then revved the bike and noticed chill chill noise ( courtesy ashwin ) I knew it was the tensioner as earlier also there was slight noise from the tensioner.

After spending few hours at home I decided to take it to the SVC to get it rectified and took the bike to the SVC and asked them to give a check and they rode and tested it for almost 7-8 kms and yet there was no noise like that I heard before. They revved the bike and checked in front of me and surprisingly there was no noise like I heard previously at all. And they assured if there is somethng like that I can bring the bike anytime . I apologised and returned back home . Seems like the noise comes only when the bike is very hot. Otherwise no noise at all. It is not the tappet noise that I am sure.

And today I checked the economy it was whopping 44.89 kmpl .

bro, can't really comment on how good are they looking by this pic. Need to look it more closely, in real.

I'm yet to identify what is tappet sound and cam sound bla bla, but one thing I gotta say here is 44.89 is a very good FE you've got there!

I've been dreaming about something like this for the past few days. It would've been better if you would've replaced the led's with angel eye strips. White for all 4 indicators, and a light blue ring for the headlamp, the headlamp will be fogged real black to such an extent, we wont notice the headlight apart from the fairing, and when we on the parks, everything, 4 indicator angel eyes, 2 pilots, and blue headlamp ring would light up, but dont worry about the headlamp since its a 55w HID 4300K, it'd shine past the black fogging and still be an eye turner + 100% functionality.

Tensioner is TIC TIC sound. The CHIL CHIL sound is'nt the tensioner neither the tappets, its the engine overheating, its alright for a new engine, but since you've completed 5k, I suggest you have the engine checked anyways, cause normally somewhere upto 5k kms its usual, but if its even staying after that then suspect the gudgeon pin, cause all ZMA's which were manufactured between late 2010 and mid 2011 have this issue with mis-aligned gudgeon pin and it scratches against the cylinder wall when the bikes reasonably hot.

Dude I can't go and right away say replace the gudgeon pin( by the way what is that? I have no idea) because its misaligned they will faint off. I am gonna do it in a systematic way first let them replace the cam tensioner if it still persists I will take it to the next level. Besides that there is a 2year/30k warranty anyway I can find a solution within that time .

Yup, its always better to approach systematically. And you'd be surprised how many ZMA owners follow this routine.

Both me and a friend followed this routine.

                              Me(2011 ZMA).

                              1.Cam Tentioner.
                              2.Valve Setting.
                              3.Cylinder Kit replacement.

                              Him(2010 ZMA).
                              1.Cam Tensioner.
                              2.Cam Chain.
                              3.Cylinder Kit replacement(During 1st Quarter of 2011).
                              4.Rocker Arm replacement.
5.Cylinder Kit replacement(2nd Set, During the same time I did).

Now at last his bikes good as new.

And the funny part is that we're not the only one's. The mech who also owns a 2011 ZMA, (we bought the bike on the same day) also faces this issue, but since it was his own bike, he didnt experiment, directly went and replaced the cylinder kit, lucky guy.

And bro, do you remember Jerin bro??? Last time he came to see me, even his bike had the same sound.
