Speaking about mileage, All Kerala ZMA owner's you might've heard rumors of a Yellow ZMA(2003) from Kollam which was giving a mileage of 60Kmpl. Finally met the owner in person(Courtesy of a friend.), he had sold the bike back in 2006 but somehow the rumor still exists. And also learn't that the tuning was done by Mr.Jean, from Tangasseri. So I hope you know what this means,

    • My bike is 1.5 years old and has crossed 12k on odo but most of time its ridden on city traffic nearly about 11k from the total so most of the time the highest speed i can drive in city is 60 and most of the time have to be in lower gear so will this thing cause a problem because of lower gear driving with a big 223cc engine.

30 kms in 10 minutes means an average speed of 180 kmh. Karizma reaches that speed at 11615 rpm in top gear. Is your bike jet powered?

But even then while on red lights, it doesnt picks up. I know it is a tourer so got a little less pick up tthan the other sportier bikes but I liking to get a good pick-up like the P220. Can anybody suggest hoe to get it without any loss on FE.Would Joel's ffe help?

Special thanks to PSR sir and Ashwin for their valuable suggestions!!!!!!
Glad to be of help...Karishma is a long stroke bike, while the P220 is a shorter stroke one...so the way they both rev and build up speed is different.Still for better pickup you can adjust the AFR screw to 3.5 to 4 turns from fully closed position which will give better off the block speed...but FE will reduce...if you want acceleration with FE then go for overboring ZMA to 230+CC with bigger piston..this will increase compression and hence power and FE....but you should run with stock Air Filter and larger Main jet.

The ZMA can do 120 on Highways...My personal best on highway had been 26 Kms in about 14 minutes.

Oops, sorry was just trying to stress the conditions under which I ride daily to show Vaishak how crappy'ly I use my ride, resulting in the worn cone set.

And if it makes you feel any better, I still reach college under 30mins from home. i.e total 40Kms.

Does 125Kmph tops on highway and does 110Kmph on city roads, the acceleration after 110Kmph is slow hence the difference.

Nope, better leave it as such. But you can try the boric acid treatment, ask psr sir, he's using it on all his rides.

Its ok bro in daily life who bothers to calculate upto the point? like if somebody new in town ask us how much time will it take to reach that place? what will we say? just approximately say this much minutes thats all you did.

Well today I rode a bullet and as I expected there was no feedback from the handle as my ride. And this is the first time having this much time on the saddle of a bullet. To be frank apart from the huge torque, solid stability and no vibes since it has no plastic fairirngs the karizma scores high. Suspension and handling of Karizma is better. And karizma is more comfortable too( self start, headlight and all).

But strangely even though I didn't like the ride there was an attachmemnt with her and after the ride I again wanted to ride her more . I don't know why and when on highway I started remembering old things in my life and blah blah blah . There was a feeling when I was cruising that I can't explain. Now I know why bullet is so much loved. Its simple Its unexplainable .

My doubt was that you were claiming to have achieved that 180 kmh speed on your bike. But the 110 kmh speed too is almost a dream through any city/town roads in India; especially in day time.
I too am using a bike and know how difficult it is to maintain an average speed of 65-70 kmh through busy roads. I am pointing it out because exaggerations are not expected from a person like you who has a deep knowledge about bikes. The comments from you may be treated as authoritative.

                              Yup. To the point.

                              I've ridden the 2011 Electra.

Nothing other than its easier to do clutchless shifts.

                              Vibes like hell.

I was pillion with bikerharis bro riding the bike and every time he shifted the bike kinda had miniature tremors.

Cracks backbone above 60Kmph or even close.

In short the ZMA kicks electra's ass.

Enfield is a sheep in wolfs skin, where as the Karizma's wolf in sheeps skin.
No disrespect, but seriously whats it with all the enfield hype, Karizma's rightfully the only ride in India that can give the enfield a run for its money, yet still people dont give the ZMA respect. It maybe because I've never seen an enfield in its true glory or maybe something else. Anyways I want you guys to think about it.

both me and Aneesh have achieved 110~115Kmph while riding parallel.
