If you are on the long ride, it is always advised to go 1 or 2 points less in the tyre pressure. Reason? The road friction generate heat and thus adds up the pressure inside the tube. On your advise if it is 2 points increase that would amount to lot of bumpy ride and even cause it burst. Watchout!

Alternatively you can use Nitrogen gas for your vehicles. It is much lighter and stays cool so you just need to fill the company spec. You don't have to worry on a long ride for regular air checks. The pressure stays longer say even a month. That's why many riders prefer to have Nitrogen gas filled for the track use.
You are not going to believe me it was written on a magazine . Well a local one though . Sorry about that.

Well long trips means constant riding so I thought tyre pressure will go down due to continuous working of tyre. And air contains 70% nitrogen na? what will a 30% more nitrogen make any significant difference?

    • hey! i am new here...

i have just bought a karizma-r... riding steadily at 40-50kmph it gave me a mileage of 40 but 4 days ago when i checked it gave me just around 29 in the same conditions... and then i was back at 40... is it good or bad?

also i rode at 90+kmph on just the second day of bringing the bike, would it affect my future mileage?

      waiting for reply.

Need more info,How much km ran now?Keep it below 50km/h till 500kms,after that between 60-70mph and after 1000kms you can try higher speeds after an oil change, its better to change oil @ 150kms first. What method do you use to check mileage? Might be an error.

        • i am a 21 yr old from nasik...

the bike has run around 292kms. for checking the mileage i fill it only a little more than the reserve; so when it goes in reserve i reset the trip meter fill some petrol(remember that quantity) and check when it goes back to reserve and then calculate... it was just once that i went above 90, though i have gone around 60-70, but now i am riding at around 40-50... would do the servicing at 500 kms...

Its running Period bro.So ignore it now and check it again after 500kms after an oil change. Continue riding it between 40-50kmph.

Ok svc managed to get a set for me.

I think the problem is not just the pads even after changing them and bleeding brakes there is huge lack in bite, anything else that i should check.

                      • ^^^ If you are talking about the disc pads, you may need to ride a few kilometers to get the actual bite.
You start the game with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience... The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.

If after bedding in of new pads also you have spongy feel then suspect the following..
                            1. Air in brake circuit.Do a proper bleed and fill
                            2. Check if the Brake Pistons are free in the floating Caliper.
                            3. Check if brake hose stretches when you press the lever.
                            4. If all the above have not resulted in solving sponginess, Suspect brake master cylinder piston "O" ring or the cylinder itself of wear.
When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

You were right it was point no 2.
When i opened the caliper it was filled with dirt. When i pressed the brake lever only one piston moved out the other was totally blocked, cleaned throughly with diesel and problems gone.
Cant belive the svc guys they cant even check things properly.

                              Thanks
