Hello xbhpians, how are you? Fine I hope.
I need your help.
I have a 4 year old Karizma.
Some problems I am facing.
1) The bike starts wobbling abruptly sometimes. This starts and stops suddenly. It wobbles as if I have a flat tyre or a tyre which is out of shape.
2) The front handle gets heavy sometimes. This too happens abruptly and goes away after some time. Can these problems(1 and 2) be connected?
3) I am getting a lot of false neutrals. While parking her, I spend almost a minute trying to shift to neutral gear. I go from 2 to 1, then 1 to 2, this cycle goes on for some time before I manage to find the neutral gear.
I went to HH Pune(Sahkarnagar) showroom for this and those jerks didn't even try to address these issues. The issues were noted down but nothing was done about them. They just serviced my bike, took 517 Rs. and sent me off. I must say I am clearly disappointed with HH service. We are always badmouthing Bajaj about their terrible service, is HH any different?
Your help will be really appreciated!
One question : who is the most reliable and trustworthy mechanic for Karizma in Pune(barring the official HH service centers)?

^^ Change the cone set (ball races kit) and most probably the wobbling will go.
Regarding gear shifting, before shifting the gears just give slight throttle and then immediately shift (it is called throttle blipping; do not shift while giving throttle). It will work. If not, if there is any pickup loss, may the clutch plates have worn out. Change clutch plates if so.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 12-31-2009, 03:28 PM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Thanks Ravi! Your help is really appreciated! BTW, I was talking @ shifting to neutral when I want to park her. I don't hv any problems shifting gears when the bike is running. When I am trying to shift to neutral before switching off the engine, I hv trouble finding that gear.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View Post^^ Change the cone set (ball races kit) and most probably the wobbling will go.

The osram night breaker is at least 50-60% better in terms of amount of light the beam is wider and longer, its really worth buy if you drive at night...
I have a night-breaker and i want to fit an electronic security system in my bike, for that do i need a 9 Amp battery and if i need one do i need to make any changes to the charging circuit? The karizma stock battery and 9amp battery are of same size(according to the shop keeper) so wont have problems in fitting.

Upgrading to higher Amp battery may be a good idea when using higher wattage bulb. I too am thinking of using 9 Amps when time to change battery comes. According to some post I read in XBHP, 9 Amp battery seems to be slightly bigger than stock, though it can fit after some little work.Originally posted by black17BHP View PostThe osram night breaker is at least 50-60% better in terms of amount of light the beam is wider and longer, its really worth buy if you drive at night...
