As per most of the members the HH oil is the best for the zma.Originally posted by ajslave View Postsemi-synth costs around 400 a litre, and fully synth about 800. FS is obviously better, so if you can afford it then go for it. ...

300V 5W 40 should be changed at 3000Kms its a racing oil does not hold as long as the 10W 40 version Thats what a 5 year old article said when i was googling and an online site that was selling the motul said to change every 3000kms.On my Xtreme i change 300V every 3500Kms, the last 300v that i drained was at 4100KMS still the ride was smoothOriginally posted by aarunn View PostCan any one tel me the drain period of Motul 300V? im using it scince last 2700 kms
.
" Looking at the motorcycle-specific oils, it's notable that the Motul 5W-40 version does not hold up nearly as well as the 10W-40 version (in fact, slightly worse than the auto oil). Motul and Maxima both claim that their ultra-lightweight-viscosity oils would last as long as normal 10W oils. Because we only tested the Motul version, we cannot say for sure that the Maxima Maxum Ultra would suffer the same loss. Yet our dyno test shows that both these oils post a horsepower gain. We consider ultra-lightweight racing oils such as 0W and 5W a special category of race products that should be changed on a strict regimen. Before you decide to run them, you need to weigh the risk of viscosity loss versus horsepower gains and make your own decision. Until more data convinces us otherwise, we would stick to something more practical for the street."

^^ In that case, Petronas Sprinta5000 is a very good option. VFM at 400 per liter. The drain period would be around 3.5k.

Help!
Guys, My speedometer is not working, along with it the tripmeter and odometer are frozen with their kms. Tachometer is working fine. What could be the possible causes? What would be the cost of spares if any have to be replaced? Thanks in advance.

The cable connecting the front wheel hub and the speedo. or may be the contact point in the wheel hub itself. Pls get them checked at your SC or a trusted mechanic.Originally posted by siva1001 View PostGuys, My speedometer is not working, along with it the tripmeter and odometer are frozen with their kms. Please get the fork oil changed at another place - preferably a HH SC with a warning that you need it done properly. Even if you do it outside please use a good branded fork oil and not those kachra ones the mechanics tend to use.Originally posted by zmaprad View PostHello guys,

Also get your fork cone set checked. May be the number plate is a bit loose - pls get that too checked. If that was making sound - it should be hitting the mud guard, making marks on it or even breaking it.
inside the clutch case. the one who needs to change it knows where it isOriginally posted by anmol_1990 View Postwhere is oil filter installed???
