  • K&N for karizma.

Does anyone know of a stock replacement filter for Karizma? I want the part number. Also, Is it worth the change?

I know conical filters R1060/RC1060 perform better, but it could be affected by rain. Also the intake roar is not so pleasant.

I read in the Q&A section of Overdrive (Jan 2010) that there is a stock replacement filter for 2500 bucks, and that the bike feels crispier after the change. I would like to hear your experiences.

How is the ZMR horn different from ZMA's? How much it costs?

If the power consumption is more or less equal to the OEM horn, you should not have any warranty issues. I hope the horn would be installable on the stock wiring. In case of dual horns, a relay is recommended. The SC guys do not mind much about the electrical upgrades, unless the stock wiring has been modified.

zmr horns cost 150+150 = 300 for both pieces......im not sure about power consumption, but yes a relay would be required, i asked about warranty, the svc told me that battery warranty would void but bike warranty would be there.

Ravi anna: will you also check the price for the premium sports sticker set for me please. Because IF this part aint available I will have to make do with the HH panel which I think you put and then remove it and affix the Premium sports on it.

But I hope the part IS available.
Mody Motors at Secunderabad claims to have the part in stock after checking his stock list. I specified the old panels and he asked if I meant the '225' model - I told him the ones with 'Premium Sports' are the ones needed. He checked and said it was available.

Prices quoted were Rs. 700 each for the sides and Rs. 300 for the center panel.

Hey Nirvan, can you get them for me? thats exactly the one i need. Center panel aint reqd i just need the left one. If hes giving me the left seperately that will be great. Otherwise I shall buy both. No issues.

Very strange Naveen. Today, I enquired at Mody Motors and they said they do not have the 'premium sports' cowl and they have cowl with 'Hero Honda' only. The price for the old one seems to be 1050 and the price for the one with 'Hero Honda' is 680.

Mehul, enquired at Phoenix motors too, and I they do not have the stock. Will try at other service centers too tomorrow.

You could very well be right, Ravi. But the guy, disinterested as he was, did look something up on the computer and confirm. The prices he quoted could very well have been a round figure. This is after I went there asking for the rubber cover that protects the clutch cable on the yoke from dust (whatever its called) and a chain guard bolt, both of which were not in stock.

Mehul, I suggest you hold for a couple days - I'll try to make a visual confirmation first. Not sure if this can be done without breaking the seal - can anyone confirm? How are these parts sold over the counter?

Mehul, I'd be glad to help out. If someone can confirm that this part can be verified visually before buying? (if it is sold in sealed packaging that can't be inspected) I don't want to be stuck with a red panel if it turns out to be the wrong one after buying and breaking the seal.

I'll PM you my cell number, please respond with yours.

BTW, the left hand panel on my bike has cracked as well, near the screw-mount near the helmet lock and also at the point under the seat. I've stuck the parts together using fevi-quik and strengthened these areas with a used credit card - its holding together pretty well. Even if your panel is beyond repair, I suggest you reinforce the new one before firring it.
