No need of any electrical modifications. It would be a direct play. But, the 9-amp battery will not fit in to the 7-amp compartment. You have to widen the walls with hammer to make 9-amp battery to fit in the compartment.Originally posted by black17BHP View PostHH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

There is some bit of difference between the size of the stock 7amp and the 9amp battery. 9amp battery is a bit bigger in size but adding a few extra joints it can be fit inside the battery compartment.Originally posted by black17BHP View PostThe osram night breaker is at least 50-60% better in terms of amount of light the beam is wider and longer, its really worth buy if you drive at night...
I have a night-breaker and i want to fit an electronic security system in my bike, for that do i need a 9 Amp battery and if i need one do i need to make any changes to the charging circuit? The karizma stock battery and 9amp battery are of same size(according to the shop keeper) so wont have problems in fitting.
Please help
If you dont install a new battery then you wud be requiring a headlamp relay to accompany the higher wattage bulb.Originally posted by black17BHP View PostDo i need to do any electrical changes to the bikes charging circuit? If yes then what do i need to do?

If this link doesn't work, look up post 1513 on this thread.Originally posted by black17BHP View PostDo i need to do any electrical changes to the bikes charging circuit if i fit a 9Amp Battery? If yes then what do i need to do?
You can manage fine without a relay, but if you do want to install one, buy the Bosch 55/60W relay along with its wiring kit. If you end up installing it, please write about it and post pics, I want to have it done too

I have already got it done for my Osram 60/55W bulb..and must say the power of illumination of the bulb has increased as compared to without the relay.Originally posted by nirvan View PostYou can manage fine without a relay, but if you do want to install one, buy the Bosch 55/60W relay along with its wiring kit. Cool, in that case, could you do the honours! Please explain how it is installed (wiring) and whether the wiring kit was useful.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostI have already got it done for my Osram 60/55W bulb..and must say the power of illumination of the bulb has increased as compared to without the relay.
I'd like to know:
1. Is there any cutting of the existing wires?
2. Is the standard connector for the bulb used eventually or is there a change?
3. Where is the relay fixed?
4. Do you need to run an extra power line from the battery to the relay?
5. Please post pics!
I've been running a 55/60W bulb for over two years without a relay and have faced no issues. I did go out to buy the relay a couple of times but it wasn't available.
Cheers!
The camshaft is connected to the main engine shaft via a chain, which is located within the head/bore assembly on the left hand side. The tensioner's job is simply to adjust the chain slack and keep it taut. However, this tensioner sometimes gives way leading to the issues you're probably facing. (The cam's job is to open the intake and exhaust valves at the correct times).Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Postsomeone pls help
The noise from the chain could simply be because of uneven adjustment and/or wear. Opening the area that covers the front sprocket is easy (#10 spanner) and you could do this yourself if comfortable, to verify the cause, which could also be some foreign object lodged there.Last edited by nirvan; 01-05-2010, 09:18 PM.

Can't be much help though you can try this. Open the cover that covers the front sprocket and visually inspect whether the chain is running properly around the sprocket. If not, it can be a problem of chain, sprocket or alignment. If everything is okay, problem may be internal and may need to be handled by experts.Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Postsomeone pls help

Answers in bold.Originally posted by nirvan View PostI'd like to know:
1. Is there any cutting of the existing wires?
If you purchase the whole wiring kit too along with the relay then there is no cutting of wires required as it is a direct fit, but if you buy it without the full wiring kit then cutting of wires is required.
2. Is the standard connector for the bulb used eventually or is there a change?
The standard is used, no change required.
3. Where is the relay fixed?
Relay is like a intermediate connector between the battery and the headlamp. It has one wire going to the battery and the other to the headlamp. I have kept/hidden mine at the right side of the front fairing.
4. Do you need to run an extra power line from the battery to the relay?
There's one power line which connects the Relay with but that comes with the wiring kit itself.
5. Please post pics!
sadly dont have

Over heating issue
accidentally my bike run some 500-600 km (over a month with half an hour each day ) with very very low oil .

(i forgot to check the oil after service . i asked them to fill the oil but they forgot it seems
)
I realized this only after running some 500-600 km

When i drained the old oil before a long trip i was shocked to the bike was running with very low oil . I filled in new oil and started riding the bike.
since i was worried about what had happened to the bike i checked the engine i sadly realized that the bike is getting heated soon .
These days the bike is getting overheat even after a 5 km ride.
After a 5 km or 10 km ride i cant even touch the engine for 2 sec ( i know Karizmas will get hot soon but this seems more than normal)
i gave the bike to a service center he told everything is normal but i am still having the issue . But i am still i am having the issue
Please suggest me what all i have to recheck from a good service center? what all parts? any suggestions ?
Ravi annnaa help needed. (please note i am using HH recommended oil)
Even though i can switch to fully synthetic i want to know whether i need to do any engine worksigpic

Jitu, how much oil is less? Did you check the oil quantity when you drained? No need to worry if it is 200 to 300 ml less. Nothing would have happened to your bike.
The engine heating up thing is just psychological I guess. If the bike is running normal, nothing might have happened. Just take a chill pill and enjoy.
Another question, why is the oil very less? Did the service guys put little quantity?HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
