I can now see why HH does not fit a crash guard on the ZMA. The silencer pipe is way too close to the guard for comfort, both above and below. The contact its making with the mudguard only makes the sitation worse, even if its fixed now, its probably a little too close for comfort.Originally posted by suresheadala View Post

@all:
My bike's front sprocket is broken(i.e a couple of teeth broke). The ASC guys are not selling the front sprocket alone? Where to get those from?
PLz help!What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

thanks for sharing the pics and info broOriginally posted by suresheadala View PostBTW, which one is the custom-made clamp?
The one on the left side is custom one. U shaped clamp is what we get for most of the crash guards.
i was speaking about the hh bikes.....i wonder if u can fix fazers mud guard to zma

Nice innovative attempt there Suresh..it looks a pretty much job well done..!! Even it was there in my list of mods too...Originally posted by suresheadala View PostHi Ravi, here are some pics... earlier i had problem with this crash guard because the front mud guard was hitting the clamp under hard braking. I changed the clamp before LEH tour. Till date every thing is fine with it.

While we are on the topic of crash guards , here is my setup. Its a CBZ Extreme one.

When it was originally fit there was 5mm gap between the fairing and the crash guard. This gap disappeared when I had a small head on collision with a swift which had a catapult effect on the pillion .
I saw her flying over my helmet and hitting the car bonnet before falling to the road. Both of us escaped with minor physical injuries .

Coming back to the bike , the front disk is making a noise and the brake pads need replacement.
Please suggest alternative options which are a direct fit... apache? unicorn?

I guess Unicorn's is a direct fit.. I read it somewhere! @Others, please correct me if I'm wrong!Originally posted by satanicsaint View PostWhile we are on the topic of crash guards , here is my setup. Its a CBZ Extreme one.

Just a message here, while fixing crash guards, ensure that it's from OEM. Though crash guards look simple and 'fabricatable anywhere' there's lot of science behind crash guards....the 'welded joints' in the crash guards have a special material that absorb energy and then deform upon impact w/o breaking into pieces. It's not a weld that is rigid, but joined/welded to perform like a 'crumple' zone (energy aborbing zone).
Never use fabricated/local made crash guards, they can seriously damage chassis in the event of accidents compared to OEM crash guards.

My bike can do 140 kmph (speedo indicated) without sprocketing and NOS (under standard conditions, normal wind resistence, and on slight slope). You said in earlier posts that your bike is doing 160 kmph with sprocketing alone.
Now you are telling that your bike can do 150 kmph with NOS and sprocketing combined. You are confusing people.
A karizma should easily do 150 kmph speedo-indicated with tall gearing. No need of NOS. If your bike does only 150 kmph speedo-indicated, god knows what NOS is doing there on your bike. Please clarify us.
