I have put the new chain set a couple of months ago and hardly take it out in the rains. I dont have to worry about it as i service it regularly, ie arnd 2 months. But the simple naked look isnt going well. Thats why want to fit a upper chain case. I got the stock one as well, but dont want to go back to it. Thats why asked up here.
Check ur Left rear bulb and see. The problem is there. Thats the exact location where I had my problem as well

Well, its not only about the rains. Dust is the major factor. U will have to clean it properly every 2 weeks. Tiresome. Even the new ZMR has the chain guard. Anyway, thats totally upto u bro. Well I'm not really sure which one will fit the ZMA. U have to try the FZ's or the 220's.

                • Battery get chargedwhile riding, but getting drained otherwise

                  Hello all,

I have been a passive member of xbhp for quite, quite enjoy reading trip logs and stuff posted here. Been to just one G2G on Aug 15 2007 with hisunil (comet owner). Never posted here, but used to browse through the threads everyday.I have learnt a lot in process. Looks like my bike is finally going to make me post something!

I have a 2 year old ZMA-R. Its developed a battery problem all of a sudden. A few days back, when I tried to start it in the morning, I found that the battery was dead. Rode it for a while and everything became ok. Later on, the same problem started cropping up frequently. i.e., battery drainage while not riding it. Every morning, battery dead, but quite fine after riding it for a while.

Took it to the SS, he cleaned up the battery terminals to no effect, Same problem still exists.

What could be the problem? Is my battery gone? Or is there some problem with the electricals?

I am game for some DIY. Please help me out.

since its two years so i think its time to replace......

but if u would have filled distilled water every 6 month (dont rely on service for this),,,,,,,,then it must have lasted for 3 years......my friends zma-r battery lasted for 3 years and he never used kick(he removed kick lever)

                    • So, is there no problem with the electricals? I am asking this because, battery is getting charged and working normally (self-start, horns, lights) after riding. Its only when the machine is idle that this drainage is occurring.

                        • Update!

Tried a friend's relatively new battery, that also is getting drained over time. Looks like I do have some electrical problem. Any idea where and what to start checking?
