And I was told that that assembly(console assembly) would require a change from my local mech!!

Till now I am having spendour plus for 7 years , could you guys pls help me in choosing my bike? I need the following stuffs in my bike apart from speed .

      1.) good for touring.
2.) reliability with durability , good stability, good for touring.
3.) Less mainenance (since for half of the year I ll be working in abroad ).
4.)a good headlamp ( I know that p220 has one, but if karizma's lamp can be changed to 55w without any problem, I would be happy coz i do a lot of night rides)

Actually I wanted to get karizma-zmr, but in my city (trichy-tamilnadu), zmr is yet to arrive, so I can only buy karizma-R....please also let me know the variants in karizma apart from zmr, coz sometimes I ve seen "zma" and "R" , is it both different?

      Please help me
go for ZMA R ... its a reliable bike and will be fine for years to come

          • Knocking sound in my ZMA.

            Guys,

I am facing an issue where there is clicking metallic sound coming from the bike when i ride it for a couple of Kms. It seems to be more like tappet sound. The engine also seems to be rough. I told the HH mech. about the problem, but he told me it is "compression knock" and that comes up in ZMAs at times. I find that hard to believe.

Request your inputs on this one as to how I should proceed in solving the problem.

            • misfiring zma

              hey guys!!

i am facing misfiring problem with my zma
it only happens in the morning when i dont warm the engine
my zma only starts in the morning/coldstart after i pull the choke and the i have to warm the engine to settle it to a steady 11k rpm, if i fail to do so it misfires like hell for about a km.(like those old lamerata autorikshaws)

i think a fule/air mix is a bit lean but the HH mechanic does not want to touch the carb as my bike gives me a 40kmpl

is it due to lean mix and if yes whats the correct settings for it so that i can persuade my mech to do it right

also the pickup of my bike was not good so i thought maybe the cluth plates have givenup but HH guys say its not the case and adjusted the clutch but it feels a bit too tight, any guesses??

my zma has done 15k kms and no stunting etc.

              thnx
i am growing old, but not up!

Shop keeper is not going to pay if your wiring/batery goes Kaput... !!

i was told the same when i bought BOSCH DUAL horns couple of months back.... i fixed them along with a relay.... works pretty well
so find a Good auto electrician who can fix your horn along with a relay..

same with me. even i bought dual horns and got them fitted in my zma-r, but i didnt liked its sound so i on the same day i replaced with stock horn.

since the dealer refused to take it back i left the horns in front of a temple.

I have Bosch Dual horns. But Have attached only one. The low tone one.
Both the horns make loud sound and is quite unpleasant.

So..using just one of them...does the job well.

                            • just go to HH service and ask them to get you the factory setting... they will move the air screw setting...

changing clutch plates is a good idea.....change oil and clutch cable too...

u may want to change accelerator cable to see the differnce

HH guys say that the settings are factory default and they changing them isnt a good idea as it will screw the mileage

why do you suggest to change clutch and acclerator cable??and what would be the costs of these 3 spares(clutch and cables)
i am on a tight budget
