    • i serviced my zma-r last week, and the svc mechanic told me that regarding the cold start issue, he advisd me to pull choke only 1/4th[AVOID FULL CHOKE OPERATION AS IT ACCUMULATES CARBON] of total and open throttle slightly, then press starter.

to my surpise the bike starting without a hitch at just a notch even in heavy delhi rains.

so this method should be tried by those who are suffering from cold start issues.

            • the front fairing stickers are rs 200 per side.the tail section should be around rs 200 per side. you can claim insurance for the handle bar, shifter and painting.

Ps:i still need to know which master cylinder kit would be compatible for the karizma.

              • Well, i went to the SVC today, the guy told me "Stickers are hard to get", and he said that i can get the left part of fairing, rear panel, (maybe tank), both left side side lights replaced b.c. cracked. and handle bar, shifter, and also the chipya is a little bent so that will be included within my insurance also. He said ill prolly have to pay around 200 or 300 RS and my bike will be like new again. Whoopie! so i ordered the parts....

He said i have "ND Cover" coverage (not sure what it means) but it includes almost everything including fiber. lol.

                    • hello zma owners,

one small query related to my friends old karizma -R.

Can a zmr rear disc fit to the old zma?

Secondly is it possible to use the apache rtr180 rear disc brakes assembly in the karizma -R?

the thing is that i want to know if the metal bracket with the floating pins will suit the zma .the new bracket costs 1100rs which i find expensive for such a small piece.

I think so. Not very sure though. but then I think we might have to change the alloys because the ZMR's alloys wont have a drum indside for the brakes. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

I only know that the ZMR's handlebar is a direct fit on the ZMA but it costs around 1400/-

The objective being what? Style or Better braking?
I know the Petal discs offer great braking, but the 276mm discs on the ZMA are quite good IMHO.

Handle cost is higher as you have mentioned...i inquired about a handle its price is 1,600 for right side...left and right combine price goes to 3,200..

check this thread for change of handle

                              • there wont be any advantage using zmr handle over zma-r.
