  • My zma did'nt start yesterday! My bro was exhausted trying to kick start it. Checked it and i found that current was not reaching the sperk plug......replaced the spark plug cap (74rs) and it started. battery was almost dead. Charged it up and everything is back to normal. I guess my zma has some wiring issue's need to check it up soon!

Now the bike starts to vibrate alot and touches 90 on 6k in 5th gear.Is the overtightened screw causing that problem.

The bike is 5 years old and has done 23k KM.The exhaust pipe has developed a crack near the engine. Is it advisable to repair it or will i have to change it completely(how much it cost).

Instead of getting new stock exhaust system can i install some other aftermarket exhaust system like krp.

Pic used as reference only. Not my bike

The part marked is also broken. It is a metallic part on which rear brake pedal is attached.Any idea how much it costs.

buddy if the crack isnt grave enough i suppose a simple welding job should be fine ,and since its near the engine so it would not spoil the asthetics as well,A new silencer should cost you in excess of 5000.
you can go for a after market silencer as well but they would not quite serve you the purpose , i mean they would add noise rather than the punch they are suppose to add ,unless ofcourse they have been properly and specifically made.
And besides these silencers are cop magnets as well .
My 2 cents get it welded

              Brother,
A catalytic converter (cat con) provides an environment for a chemical reaction wherein toxic combustion by-products are converted to less-toxic substances. (wikipedia)
I doubt if we have it in Karizma, so let us assume it's in silencer.
However, it is advisable not to remove it for the sake of say +5KmpH top speed.
If you really want good performance n don't want to compromise on eco-friendliness of your bike, you can replace entire exhaust system to some lighter one meant for performance. There is somebody in Bangalore who has designed similar stuff. Try searching xbhp for it.

Correct me if my understanding is incorrect.

karizma R has cat con offcourse everybike has it in silencer only.

recently hh made changes to cat con to meet bs-iii stage.

I ll get it welded then.

I was thinking of installing krp exhaust on ma bike.Would also change the air filter to K&n and get the carb rejetted.

                  • Hello Guys

What should be the ideal time to change Fork Oil in ZMA.

I recently did about 40 kms total off roading in Satara.

I have completed 14000km with my ZMA

I have not found any issues with the forks.

How to analyze if the forks are ok and working properly??.

                      • Hi Everyone...

Today i went to the HH showroom and i have originally booked a HH karizma R with black rims. there was a red rim karizma which was sitting there in the godown. (i got into the main HH showroom with my brother who knows the whole staff and all because he works there) Well, I checked out the karizma but it had scratches on the right side panel, and the silencer metal cover was sort of rusted, scratched with dents... (the scratches were deep, and was rusting inside the scratches) And the MF date was Feb 10'. Did i do the right decision and leave the or was it a decent buy? My brother told me not to buy although the manager told me he would replace the parts for me. i got a little worried because it was a feb 10 model. (almost 6 months old) and i want one ASAP. i cant wait anymore. Also, the mananger said the new load (with 6 new pieces) would be in 2 days and ill get to have 1st pick....

So, what i want to know is did i do the right thing by leaving and not getting it??? and any other suggestions???

                        thnx..

                          • Vibration Problem

im experiencing a little vibration issue. dont know if it is normal or just appearing to me so. when the bike is idling the visor and rvm are seen to vibrate and also the silencer[though not very much]. while riding also the visor is vibrating. i can feel vibration in handle bar also.

my bike has done 8000 km. what could be the reason. should i change the oil to synthetic.

                              • @All: My friend who is studying in Pune wants to get his ZMA at Nasik fixed. He has sent me this pic which shows the parts to be replaced.
He is unaware of where to go for genuine parts in Nasik. Please guide him as to where he can find these parts in Nasik, and also the approximate prices!
