      • yeah even i think the original zma shocks are good enough even though gas shocks would be better
i feel the gas bottoms out pretty quick, had the experience of hitting bumps in pulsar 200 with heavy pillion though am 90 kilos but i dont hit the same bump in zma with same pillion

        • the GRS shocks currently doing duty in ZMR and Hunk are very good and better than Karizma's original shocks. They do not bottom out as pulsar's shocks.

The modification of Karizma to accommodate Gas Shocks involves lot of effort, which is not worth considering the good quality of Karizma's original shocks. Karizma's rear cowls would not allow fitting of gas shocks.

Each GRS shock of Hunk is priced at 1950/-, a pair would cost 3900. With all modifications, the cost escalates to too much.

Also, we have to find a way to fit the gas shocks on Karizma first.

Im pretty sure you can just put the shocks upside down. Isnt it possible?? like it is on the ZMR or a bullet?

            • Anybody has carried this mod before? I do not think it is that easy even if you reverse fit it as ZMR.

                  • sirac 120/80 is a tube tyre but can be fitted as tubeless. we had it fixed on a zmR but one problem was it was touching the chain guard and we had to chip a portion of the chin guard.I am not sure if it fits without any mods on a ZMA. regarding the vertigo - the sport is tubeless and the rage is a tube tyre but i am using the rage as tubeless tyre without any issues. for the front tyre you can go for the ZMR tyre which is slightly bigger and will affect the handling.nothing in stock for ZMA is tubeless. I think piralis might be available but I am not sure. the vertigo is a direct fit on the ZMA - 120/80/18

I only had my doubts because I would take my Karizma to LEH in the month of July and would be ridding with a pillion. So didn’t want to take any chances of fixing a tube type tire as tubeless.

Searching for Ceat vertigo in Mumbai.

Would be it be advisable to fix a tube type tire and make it tubeless for the LEH trip and the new Karizma has been launched with the tubeless tire, can I get them from MRF or Hero Honda Service Station
are this tubeless same as in ZMR ?
IF YES, then its your bad luck coz the tyre are not available anywhere
i asked mrf authorized ...they even dont know that tyre

                        • cant comment on that.heard a lot of riders using the sirac which is a tube tyre as tubeless. I got my tyre fixed 2 weeks ago and did not face any issue till last evening- flat tyre. first flat in 40k kms in about 3 years for me.not sure if it is because of air leaking through the sidewalls or a regular puncture- will post about it tomorrow.

Sirac being a soft compound, most probably it will be a puncture. Hope you have Tubless puncture kit, and you can fix it yourself.

                                Oh! Thought you fitted Sirac.

Sudden deflation most probably will not be sidewall leak. You said, you have used tyre for quite sometime. It definitely would be a puncture. Did you inspect the tyre for any nails?
