Today did my bike's 4th free service.
Total cost : 361rs
1- Oil change : 290rs
2- O ring at drain bolt : 3 rs
3- Oil drain bolt : 18 rs
4- Consumables : 50 rs
I told him not to change oil while writing the job card. But due to mistake from his part mechanic changed the oil
. And in the process he broke the drain bolt( I suppose ). They said the thread was spoiled and it might leak in coming days so they changed it. The thing is that the person who wrote the card apologized to me and admitted that it was his mistake and told that he will pay for it . That was happy enough and I told him that I will pay for it. Atleast he apologized and admitted rather than blaming me.
Now running on 10w 30 HH oil gear shifts are louder and bike has more pronounced vibrations now. Lost the smoothness. Will revert back to 20w 40 soon. Well there is a slight increase in peppiness though.Cheetahs are faster but the lion is still the KING

Back to this thread after a long time.
Vishakh and me is in trivandrum team. During one of our g2g, i started his bike. I was little surprised,his engine was running smoother like a unicorn with minimum vibrations. And when i started my bike, i noticed the difference. my engine was running rough with the vibrations shaking the handle bars. He told me it is because of my slow riding style and will become ok. I usually ride within the 4k rpm.
1.Is this a problem?
2.Or is it because the engine hasnt completed its Setting-in?
mine is a 2011 Karizma and have clocked 9375km.
The above said silly things doesnt mean i am unhappy with my bike. I am really happy and proud to own this capable Classic Touring Machine.Last edited by Jerrin; 01-25-2012, 05:43 PM.Comment
