Yup, thats it, do you know how much they cost??? And BTW are they direct fit??? Do we have to swap calipers by any chance(Just asked to clear my doubt once and for all.).Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View Post
Me too suspect that. Am starting to get kinda pissed with the horns, the stock are worthless and everytime I go with windtones, something or the other happens. Are there anyother more reliable options???Relay Blown?Motorcycling Experience:

I dont mean windtones. I mean something that doesnt require relays and performs better than the stock horns.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostBosch Symphony,I think price is same, there is a slight difference in tone.Motorcycling Experience:

I know what you mean!! I suffered the same with Roots windtone horns. For the nine months that they were on my bike, there was some problem or the other. I thought I was the only one facing this problem.
Finally I changed to 'Minda K95 Tractor Horns'. They are pretty loud (not as much as the wind tones) and I have not faced any problem since i've got them installed (Ofcourse we have to install it with a relay). Also, the cover says "India's First Water Immersion Proof Horns". They cost me Rs. 450/-You start the game with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience... The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.

I dont believe they are. Actually, im pretty sure they arent! The mounting points on the Apache petals are different!Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostOut of curiosity. Are the rotors interchangeable???
Aneesh, that looks like a p200/220 front end on a zma with a 17inch front wheel!Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostYou mean disk plates?

Regarding the horn, id double check the relay. Lotsa cheap/fake ones are being palmed off as original stuff!. You need to get a good one. I had them on my first zma back in 06 and never had a problem.

Check for wiring , as you said when you start bike horn works , so i think relay is not getting required supply .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View Post@Guys.
My ZMA's windtones didnt work when I started up the bike. And when we press the horn switch the BOSCH relay doesnt click, so should I go ahead and replace the BOSCH relay or are there some other things I should consider like, inbult horn relay(if any.) etc...
I have them & prefer more than the roots one . More louder than roots when i repaired both .Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostBosch Symphony,I think price is same, there is a slight difference in tone.
Maruti stock horn .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostI dont mean windtones. I mean something that doesnt require relays and performs better than the stock horns.

Nope, I meant till day before yesterday it was working fine, yesterday didnt touch bike, but today morning when I took the bike the horns were dead, i.e both before and after starting.Originally posted by Above_All View PostCheck for wiring , as you said when you start bike horn works , so i think relay is not getting required supply .
Bro, I've got a ZEN Estilo, do they have the same type of horn you're talking about??? If yes then, what say if I swap em??? And would the power requirements be met??? And are they dual or just a single unit???Maruti stock horn .

Check each horn individually without relay if they are fine , clean the terminal's of relay & check it , if relay is dead then go for a 4 pin relay as i have 4 pins in my passion from more than 6 years .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostNope, I meant till day before yesterday it was working fine, yesterday didnt touch bike, but today morning when I took the bike the horns were dead, i.e both before and after starting.
The one come with Maruti OMNI is good , don't know if it is same with Estilo , but note that it is very hard to repair as it don't have any screw to open .Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostBro, I've got a ZEN Estilo, do they have the same type of horn you're talking about??? Single is good & strong but if you wish to add pair then you need to put a relay .

Did the horns start working after riding a bit? I think its an earthing/shorting problem. This keeps happening to my zma. Water seeps into the stupid relay from somewhere and causes this problem! Replace the relay and isolate it.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostNope, I meant till day before yesterday it was working fine, yesterday didnt touch bike, but today morning when I took the bike the horns were dead, i.e both before and after starting.

I think the Estilo came with one horn. You can swap it with your bike horn. You wont really need to use the relay in the estilo but you could if you want! We have had twin horns without relays in all our marutis(800, zen, wagonR, baleno, SX4). The sx has 4 horns working simultaneously thanks to my evil mind!

4Pin relay meaning ROOT's relay???Originally posted by Above_All View PostCheck each horn individually without relay if they are fine , clean the terminal's of relay & check it , if relay is dead then go for a 4 pin relay as i have 4 pins in my passion from more than 6 years .
Guess I'll go with single. At the least then I'll be able to skip the relay part. The one come with Maruti OMNI is good , don't know if it is same with Estilo , but note that it is very hard to repair as it don't have any screw to open .

Even after 80Kms of the riding it was still dead.Originally posted by James View PostDid the horns start working after riding a bit? I think its an earthing/shorting problem.
