I dont think you get that seperately. You may have to look at second hand zma or cbr part. Or buy the whole assembly which is not practical anyway.

Reporting issues to Hero customer care works!

Last week, I got my bike's oil changed at Diya motors, Trivandrum. It is one of the biggest ASC in South Kerala!
I was watching their work and finally, I was charged for 1.2L of oil in the bill. I argued that only 900 ml is needed when the crank case is not opened.
But they refused saying Karizma needs more oil!
I called Hero customer care after reaching home and reported the issue. They said I will get a message of the ticket number once I hang up the phone. I didn't get the message and when I check the ticket's status thru phone, they said the ticket is closed! I got the ticket re-opened and I got a call from Diya after 2 days.
I took the bike to them today. They accepted their mistake and checked the oil level. It was 2 cms above the max limit.
They used a syringe to pull some 250 ml of oil and refunded the money of additional oil they filled.
The service manager Balaji who attended the complaint was polite and co-operative.

Overall a good experience from Hero customer care. But it is alarming that the mechanics of ASC do not know basic stuffs like these!

But that is when the right side engine cover is opened, right!
I double checked this in the user manual before going back to them.
This was the same for my Hunk as well.

i am owning a Karizma R 2012 Model, Recently i had some issues with my bike like Starting trouble and other general problems. I done a service and they said battery needs to be replaced and i changed the battery. It was good for past two days but again today i had a starting trouble like when I pressed the Self start the bike is getting ignited but when am accelerating the bike ignition goes off with a sound like Air getting released. After that even kicker will not help and the solution i got seems to be strange when i opened the Petrol tank and tilt the bike then if i start the bike it is getting started and goes smoothly. I don't understand this strange behavior. If someone can help me with this why i am getting such a starting trouble issue even after changing the Spark Plug and Battery.

Sometimes while driving i am feeling like the handle bar is shaking but in service center they said there is no problems with the Handle bar. Is there any suggestions for this.
There is a chance that the AFR screw had gone loose. Try to set it back to 3.5 turns if thats the case and see if it solves the issue. Happened with me.

Hi All, I am planning to look for a used ZMA as a replacement for my Fiero F2 which was sold.
Some pointers on average price ranges, how to evaluate the bike would be helpful.
Also common problems and solutions, issues with spares etc. 😃

While checking or looking at bikes, the most likely part that would have taken the beating would be the fairing and panel joints. Since its made of plastic its easily prone to cracking under pressure or bad roads. So keep an eye out for the joints.
Other than that, look for the condition of vehicle. The bike should be smooth and stress free. Some spares are a problem though especially the chain cover. So ensure that is intact.
Check for engine oil leaks from engine. If engine oil is leaking, think a little before buying.
Do check for front disc and the pads. The stock ones are pretty costly but there are alternatives if pads are worn out.
Look for a bike which is sparingly used. Under 20k kms run would be great but again the condition of vehicle matters. And preferably single owner.
Do check if the bike has any cases against it. Most likely the previous owner would not have paid dues. So kindly get everything cleared the owner before the purchase.
The rubber holding the front fairing would have most probably taken a beating or worn out due to age. This is another reason for vibration and rattling from the front end. Sourcing them might be a problem even though it is cheap.
Other checks are the usual, front and rear shock absorbers, spark plug, clutch, brake wires and levers, horn and battery, wiring if necessary (hopefully the previous owner has not played around by installing additional horns or HID's).
Others can add on if I have missed something crucial.
Pricing depends on the models you choose for. I would suggest to look for pre 2011 hero honda models only. Anything before 2011 do not pay more than 40k. Keep some cash for servicing and changing few spares like spark plug, air filter, chain sprocket etc etc. Preferably stick to a 10w40 grade mineral oil or semi synthetic at the most. Don't go for synthetic or w50 grade oil which I feel is just fancy and not of much use for an air cooled engine.

Thanks for the elaborate reply! I will do the usual checks. What is the approximate cost of the front fairing in case I need to replace?
And any other typical Karizma abuse warning signs to lookout for?

At-least Rs.2500, for the set (consists of left and right side). Visor extra.
                    Karizma Plastics are expensive.

Go for a bike which does not have any fairing or panel issues if given a choice. Other than that the usual wear and tear is what you should look out for and how much you are willing to shell out on repairs. Most owners would have used the bike roughly or not maintained it well. There were a couple of karizma's for sale. Good condition ones. I wouldnt suggest if i didnt feel its worth a try. One is a Red Zmr in bangalore posted on karizma owners whatsapp group and other Red Zma in Delhi from Xbhp Karizma owners group. I can check for you if they are still available. Which city or town do you live?

                              Hi,

I know the question sounds crazy. But, just wondering is it possible to install the New 2014 Model ZMA engine on the old one..? I mean is the chassis are same or different..? If yes, what are the changes need to be done. Like changes to Carb, changes to chain sprockets, rear alloy, tires and CDI. Wondering am i the only one with this thought...! Hopefully No

AFAIK, it's a direct swap! All changes are internal to the engine.
