I ordered this cover for my bike for Rs. 179 from flipkart.

Received the cover. Quality & fitting wise it looks good. Worth 179 bucks!

Meanwhile I have started facing 2 issues with my bike.

      1. The starter can not be engage with gear in position even with pressing the clutch. The starter fires only when gear is in neutral.

      2. Lately, the gear shift has become hard. And bringing the gear in neutral is getting difficult day by day with engine running especially. I have to switch off the bike and the gear engages to neutral easily.

Bike was recently serviced some 500km back and I have checked the engine oil. It is upto level and still fresh & maintaining its color.

Your clutch switch is the culprit, (there is small pokey-dokey switch under your clutch lever) if that is kaput, then you won't be able to start the bike when it's engaged, you'll have to neutral the bike manually and then fire her up.

Hard gearshifts almost go synonymous with improper grade oil or low oil level or poor oil quality itself. Which grade did you use? Some oils do tend to lose viscosity after heating up and cause engine harshness.

The best air filter for your motorcycle is your STOCK FILTER.. Everything else is gets the back seat.

You will not feel any change after using Iridium plug if you are expecting any. The life span is very good though.
              Thanks for the help.
Second spark plug was purchased as a backup.

Now I was on my way to manali this morning when my bike electricals gave up. I'm on the outskirts of Chandigarh at a mechs' trying to figure a way to fix Front fairing was removed and new led headlamps + pilots were put with some jugaad and a new battery. Total new wattage = 37W (10 +10 +17)

The bike kept hiccuping last night whenever I tried switching my lights on. Even the indicators and tail light were causing the bike to hiccup violently! And it completely gave up in the morning after jerking for about 5 mins on the road. Any idea what could have gone wrong?

The fairing removal and new lights were done a week back. Bike seemed fine then. Should I be using a relay?

I have been using LED HL from a while and pilots were changed to LED long back. That can't cause the issue. I have no idea 😟

                    Problem fixed.

Those lights are not exactly pilots. They have been fixed to the fairing mounting fixtures on the tank.

Those lights drained my battery completely. I'll use them sparingly for the trip, will change as soon as I am back.

Experts, need help with my ZMA R..
Went for a trip to lavasa with my friends yesterday evening.. Came back at 11pm..
I have put a Xenon HID HL kit for my beauty.. 6000K.. I bought the same in April and have been using it till date.. Never had any trouble except that the bike won't start with HL turned on... Bt today, on the return journey, after about half way, the HL just died.. I had stopped for the rest of the guys to catch up..
Once they joined,we started again... Bt that's when it happened... My HID was not turning on.. I had came running with the HID, bt all of a sudden, after a 3minute stop, it wont light up.. I tried low beam, high beam, pass, bt nothing worked... Thought the issue was with any loose contact as there was hell lot of patches on the road.. I tried to DIY, bt no use... Since it was really late, no mechs available at the time.. So I was trailing behind my friend following his light all th way back home (no street lights at all).. After reaching home, for one last tym I tried pass light, and suddenly it worked.. Tried the HL switch, bt only High beam was working bt not Low.. For both the positions, only high beam was working.. Is there anything like the Xenon hid won't work on over heating of the bulb?? Our trip was less than 50kms one side.. Please advise..

Anmol Sir, please try adjusting the clutch ply before you do any. Most of the time the gearshift issue is resolved with a little tweak. There is a huge difference between gearshift smoothness and difficult to engage. If we diagnose correct, issue is solved precisely and quickly.

I too have the same issue, adjusted the clutch lever/cable play but it didn't made any changes. Gear shifts are hard, difficult to engage neutral while engine is on. What will be the issue?

When you say not shifting to neutral while engine is on, i take it as waiting at the signal kinds.

Most of the cases, shifting to neutral while engine is on, could be a slightly tricky. But it will not be like, I won't shift to neutral. That needs to be a looked at. Some may get the knack in due course.
For some changing the engine oil could improve shifting but that only makes it slick.
In your case, warrants some more detailed inspection. This could root deep to the level of clutch assembly. However, as a first step, try changing the engine oil to see the improvement as you have already adjusted the clutch ply per your earlier post.

A little addition to the info: My ride is 2008 make 83k old machine, have undergone an overhaul on 55k changed almost everything inside engine head, and changed the clutch plates too! And yes , i forgot to mention where I tried to put in neutral. IMPORTANT ADDITION TO THE QUERY IS ITS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT GEARS TOO. thanks in advance!
